Can't really throw stones here. Our starting QB and previous star WR both had alcohol related offenses.

Agreed.

When criticizing college programs' frequency on the police blotter, I dismiss the drinking related ones. Virtually all kids drink underage and I don't think an athlete or program should be dinged for it.

pOSU will be overjoyed if this is all they have to deal with when it comes to UM's tenure there. As well, I am sure the school laid the law down to UM on keeping his players in line. I don't think we will see the UF glory days of police blotters coming out of Columbus.

My sources are telling me it's true. At least that he did in fact punch a girl at a bar. Don't know for sure if he is off the team.

Livin in Columbus...itll be somewhat of a miracle if it truly gets out. A cop that works in Arena District where this happened, advised the Hyde did punch a cops daughter. So where, this may have been swept under the rug, its taken a new twist with who he hit. Theres much speculation that he has already been removed from the team. osu had a LB Storm Klein, he slammed his gf's head in a door and was kicked off the team, but then reinstated. So we will see what happens here. Id expect some resolution to come this morning

Has anyone else heard anything about another unnamed freshman that could be in trouble? No source what so ever on this, living in columbus I have a lot of OSU friends and one said on a Tenn site he saw they think it might be Von Bell...Again no source really just a rumor.

Hyde and a few teammates went to the Sugar Bar downtown and eventually made their way up to the second floor. Hyde approached a young woman and asked her to dance. She rebuffed his request, and per one source told him to “(eff) off” and then pushed him away.

According to several sources, Hyde then struck the woman in the face and she was knocked unconscious for an estimated 5 minutes. Hyde then ran from the bar before police could get involved. The woman had a CAT scan the following morning and is said to be doing fine.

The same source informed us that the young woman’s father is currently serving his third tour in Afghanistan.

At the time of publishing, a police report regarding this incident was still not available for the public. Multiple sources inform us that the matter is still “under investigation” and that’s why no police report or formal charges have been released.

“A detective is currently being assigned (to the case), but that probably won’t happen until Tuesday,” a source said.

Was it a cop's daughter or the daughter of a Serviceman serving his third tour in Afghanistan?
