I have flashbacks of Tate Forcier going ham on us as a true frosh. I trust no one.

It's not like Jon Tenuta would let another freshman make a mockery of his defense.
Oh, wait...

Anyone know anybody looking to sell reasonably priced tickets to the game? I've looked everywhere, and they're ridiculous! Lowest I've seen is $265 for nosebleeds.

Nope sorry. My source is even having trouble with getting my tickets. Besides, GK will remind you that he already called dibs. If you wanna go, you may just need to bite the bullet on this one.

Price could go down the closer we get to kickoff, but I wouldn't bet on it. There's a lot of demand for this game in Austin, they think they've turned the corner and are on the way back up right now.

Haha I'm glad you respect dibs.

I have basically accepted the fact that I will be paying no less than $225 and no less than $350 for any sort of decent seats. But that's alright...once in a lifetime experience.

His feed also has a lot of other UT practice updates if you can't wait for September 4.

I saw some clips from the Texas practice yesterday. They were way better than the clips from Culver. We're fucked

How so? They looked really good, are ready to throw the kitchen sink at our defense, or both?

They did look fast in the clips, but I'm still confident that ND will prove to be the better team. I've been so much in that corner that I figured I didn't need to use Italics

 Not sure if serious. What one team does one year can be infinitely different than what they do the next year. Look at the USC game in 2014 and 2015, two totally different scenarios...2014 we got absolutely destroyed, 2015 we threatened to pull away outselves in the 1st and nearly went up 28 to 10 before the Hunter fumble at the goal line.

Not saying we're getting creamed, but this Texas team should be improved from last year. I expect the score will be closer this time around, and they have every chance to win or at least make it interesting based on facts like they're more experienced than they were previously, we've lost a lot of players, they're at home this time, and they're going to be presenting a different offense that we won't have film on.

Pretty much every Texas preview thinks they're going to beat us. What I find funny is the same reason they think they will beat us (lost a bunch of players with unproven starters) is the same reason they think they will be improved (lost a bunch of loser players and replaced them with the bestest freshman ever).

We're gonna curb stomp these fools, Mark it.

Yes I was serious. I hope they are improved from last year. We will handle them easily. They are still to young in to many places, to add that much of a threat in my eyes.
You don't have to agree with me that's just how I feel.

People forget that we have elite talent on this team. Sure we lost guys, but it's not like we are replacing them with freshmen that have never played. We lose Schmidt, we gain an explosive Nyles Morgan. We lose Day, we give Tillery, who played a bunch and was mentored by Day. That same story goes up and down the roster. We aren't breaking in a a true freshman QB in one of the most high profile games of his career. We have three QB's that Texas would kill for, that's how good we are.

I'm not saying we are a championship team, but we are a hell of a lot better than Texas.

Yep. I totally agree with this. Wouldn't be surprised if the outcome was similar to last year's matchup. A true freshman QB in hi first game against ND???? Forget about it

They should be better prepared this year, and slightly more experienced, but that's it, imo.

Still got us by two scores

Texas has a deceptively good pass rush dare I say, elite even. Good for ND that the potential pass rush is going to go up against a buzzsaw in the ND OLine. Should be interesting to watch.

I think ND will beat Tejas, but gone are the days were I feel confident that ND blows a team away; its been years since I have expected ND to blow teams out (and even longer since ND backed up my predictions with blowouts). I would be very surprised if the game turns out like last year, but I do expect ND to win with little trouble. I'm thinking ND wins 30-something to teeny-something. (34-17, 30-14, 31-10, something like that.)

but their (Tejas) pass rush is due to be an MF'r this year.

True freshman QB vs Deshone Kizer, bring it on

BVG will make him look like the next Andrew Luck though

Something to watch is that Buechele is freakin' tiny. Golson 2012-sized. I'd love to smash him on the first series and see if he can handle it.

Do we know yet who the announcing team will be? I'm assuming Fowler and Herby will do doing the USC-Bama game.

That's fine, I'm just saying don't expect we'll crush them again because we did last year. Lot of variables have changed in 2016, but we should still come out on top.
