The two constants with ND football:. There'll be 80,795 at home games and regardless of the network, a BC alum will call the game.

Haha I'm glad you respect dibs.

I have basically accepted the fact that I will be paying no less than $225 and no less than $350 for any sort of decent seats. But that's alright...once in a lifetime experience.

Thats exactly what Im thinking. The issue is 225 on these ticket sites is really 275-300 after fees.

Joe Tess is on the call, and it's a game that's not on Saturday...

Shit's gonna get weird.

I guess Joe Tess moved up to Brad Nessler's spot after he left for CBS.

Notre Dame, Texas and Penn State have such classic dull uniforms I hope no one decides to go all shamrock series fetish outfits for this one. Keep the uniforms dull but make the football exciting!

Exactly,, I have never heard someone accuse ND or Penn St for having dull uniforms.. I can't stand Burnt Orange but even Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama have nice slick clean looks...

Looks like Texas "Qb", Jerrod Heard is practicing at Wide Receiver now. Guessing a lot saw that coming, but looking more and more like the Freshman may get that start.

Makes sense,,,they are short at WR, he's a good speedy athlete, and the future at QB is obviously the freshman. Both Swoopes and Bueschel will play vs Irish.

That's pretty good news I guess, anyone ever watch film on Bueschel?

He should be an upgrade over the QB play we saw in last year's opener. He can be a sneaky good runner on broken plays and can make throws on the run. He has plenty of arm strength and can hit on quick routes as well. In the Texas Spring game, he made some good plays, but it also looked like he was locking in on guys and taking some chances so if we can generate a pass rush and/or stay disciplined in the secondary, I think we generate turnovers and come out of Austin with a W.

Sounds like the key is to take an early commanding lead. Say 14 points by halftime, then let Dalin Hayes and company t-off in the second half.

I really appreciate this insight and study. It's great to know other people study ND football the way I do. If that kid starts, our defense will eat him for breakfast

Vancouver hasn't reached the condescending stage of ND fandom just yet. He's still at the stage of fearless optimism, so there's still "petty rage", "endless sobbing" and then "blissful numbness". Only after those stages will he come out an emotionally harden ND fan with a bleak and cruel outlook on the future of the program like the rest of us!

At which stage do we add vodka to the kool aid?

After reading a 247 Texas article, it sounds like Swoopes and the other kid could be playing in the opener.

It'll only take a few games before the questions start pouring in about NDinVan's prognostications/film evaluations. The forum is a dynamic entity and it becomes agitated quickly when rosy-colored glasses are smashed on the ground.

Further, most of us kind of like NDinVan's over-the-top positivity because it reminds us of where we used to be, and a part of us really hope he's right.

That part will likely be smashed on the rocks at some point this season.

We also need to fit in "Created Thread While Drunk After a Loss" somewhere in the order of operations.

I'm glad to say I moved on from my "Created Thread While Drunk" era years ago, didn't have to be after a loss... though, there was a time... oh, there was ever a time.
