Guys, I feel great about this game. Clemson is an all finesse team that will quit when we punch them in the fucking mouth. Plus, they are constantly overrated. BK gets his guys prepared when we are not favored on the road. It may be close early, but we will pull away in the second half. I'm excited. Clemson has no idea what they're in for. They're gonna think how bad they fucked up when Dabo called us out for not joining a conference. F.U.C.K Clemson. We will beat them into fucking paste. Feel free to roast me if we lose.

These guys run downhill after touching a magic rock... It's like 'Sword in the Stone' college football version, and Merlin isn't a Notre Dame fan... Plus they wear orange and purple, orange and purple guys!!! Despite this they are still a legit cfb program, defies all logic and hope... Neither of which are involved in this prediction post whatsoever...

Clemson- 75
Notre Dame- 7

The false starts only happen at home. BK said that the construction is making the stadium louder.

I think that was his excuse Week 1 when a shit ton of Texas fans showed up (As expected). It may be a bit louder, but I've only been to the GT game this year so I can't compare much to previous years cause that was a decent game and the crowd did seem into it. The UMass game probably would have been a better gauge on noise level. BK has also said that the switch from Zaire to Kizer is what caused some of the false starts against GT because of different cadences or something between the two QBs.

McGlinchy had a False Start on ND's 5th drive in Charlottsville.

Zaire had a couple delay of games.

During the GT pregame one of the announcers noted that ND would be using a silent count because of the constuction noise.

The finesse team known as USC proper f*ck#d us last year. This game will be won or lost with our offensive line and/or QB play. It depends on what Clemson tries to do. If they play typical cover-2 defense, then our line needs to open holes.

If they stack 8 in the box, our QBs must be decisive and accurate. Then I'll feel better. We haven't had to rely on Kizer for a full game to make plays yet.

We just beat UMass, essentially a minor step above DII teams. Clemson is a whole nuther ballgame.

Can't possibly compare this year's squad with what we threw out onto the field in sunny SoCal last year. Team was a shell...

We're much faster to the ball this year and our speed is equal if not better. This is a close knit team. Teams like that tend to pull together when surrounded with adversity. This game should have the same feel as OU in 2012. I like our chances.

BK stated before the game against UMASS that due to the stadium noise they were going to a silent count...this continues to be in line w/ what he said regarding when texas was here and people thought he was being sarcastic regarding the texas fans...IT TRULY IS DUE TO THE STADIUM...even pregame the hot blonde stated how much louder it was on the field

He wasn't being sarcastic about the Texas fans, he specifically said he was upset about the number of Texas fans. That wasn't people twisting his comments about the construction, he was specifically asked "did the orange bother you" and he said yes.

i was stating the fact about when he said it was loud due to the stadium changes...people were calling that BS...but against umass he said the same thing which is why we went to a silent count...it certainly wasn't because there were more umass fans there...im not stating anything regarding the # of texas fans...just the point of him saying the construction has increased the noise

I feel like this is the case any time a team with a strong following with bold team colors visits ND. The orange sticks out compared to ND's mix of white, green, blue and yellow. Compare that to say, Michigan, where the colors are close to the same. When standing on the field, you can tell who the Texas fans are but you would have a much more difficult time pointing out all the Michigan fans.

Being at the game, I did think there were a few more texas fans than your typical opponent. But it was not nearly as bad as some made it out to be.

I believe that he said the construction has increased the noise, but I'm surprised by that. IDK anything about structural engineering or sound waves, but it's not like we have drastically changed the stadium. We added the soon to be booths on both sides, right? That's the only change? I'm surprised that traps so much sound.

That's a fair point about the color, but I think it had at least as much to do with the resale price of the tickets. $300 is much more tempting for a Notre Dame ticket holder to sell than the $75 he would have gotten for selling his UMass tickets. Plus, we don't have any particular animosity towards Texas. So $300 to miss the Texas game is much more appealing than $300 to miss USC or Michigan.

Night games are also unpopular with some of the season ticket holders.

I agree with this, because at the UVA game it was at least 35% to 40% Notre Dame fans, but looking around the stadium you couldn't tell. Why? Because navy blue blends in AND it was one of UVA's colors. Only the green sticks out... and even that is overpowered by the orange.

The bright, "alert" style colors naturally stand out more and ND doesn't have those (save for green, which at most a plurality of people where). I don't know if we need a solution or not, but if there is one it's to make sure The Shirt is the same shade of green every year, and push more and more people to wear it to games.

I took it more as prep for the Clemson night game noise more so than the actual stadium noise. Typically when on offense, the home crowd gets quiet until the play is ran. With that said, I haven't been to ND stadium for a game so I don't know what effect the construction plays with noise level.

I raised this point a couple of years ago in one of "The Shirt" threads. I don't remember the exact context of that conversation but it really hurts our game atmosphere that we don't wear one color. Looks especially lackluster on television.

Yes, good points.

It depends on the weather, but I try to wear kelly green to every ND game I attend. The Shirt should be kelly green every year, imo.

Lots of schools organize "White Out" or " Green Out" etc games via social media, perhaps ND needs to do this also. You would probably get loads of old geezers saying its a marketing ploy to make them buy ND apparel though :)

BK has made several references to how much louder it is now on field...he did mention the possibility of going to a silent count following the texas game which he stated would also help out when they go on the road.

I want to go, but $250-$300 for nose bleed seats is too much for me. I was also told that there's a limited amount of hotels in Clemson, and would most likely have to book a room in Atlanta.

I have thought this same thing for years.

I have been extremely nervous for every game so far this year and we are 4-0. I woke up today not nervous for this game at all. I am feeling very conflicted.
