Again... if there is proof Elam said what he did... then put it out there.

Are you talking about a recording of it? Are you serious? Dude, you might as well put me on ignore (and the rest of the world) because no, I don't have recordings of things. Information from some very reliable people comes to me, and sometimes I'm able to post it. Only clowns say, "Well, I don't believe you! Where's the proof?" Come on man. Some people have been here long enough where a little cred is earned.
And if Bama is cheating and you have proof... put it out there.

What are you talking about? Are you talking about my hypothetical? But since you asked, here's some proof that my hypothetical is actualy not hypothetical at all when it comes to Alabama:

Where Is Albert Means, the Man Who Brought Down Alabama for Almost 10 Years? | Bleacher Report

Albert Means - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

ESPN.com - E-Ticket: The Crimson Hide

Need any more proof? I could go on for days with your cheating program. Why not just admit it and move on?
As far as getting comfortable out here and posting some things that may challenge the "conventional wisdom", I simply try to add to the conversation.

No, you actually talked crap. Said that now that we didn't get Elam we were crying over spilled milk. Basically said that the information was bullshit. Sorry, that's talking shit, not adding to the conversation.
If what I add is not acceptable to you, then hit the ignore button. Most IE posters are very cordial, engage in the conversation even when we may disagree, and laugh when it's over. ACamp is a great example. We disagree on our teams but agree on most everything else. And we may throw a few bombs at each other from time to time, we usually laugh it off and go on.

Congrats on your bromance. Acamp is my boy too. If you weren't talking shit, I would be cordial with as well. I always have been with you.

I too, never cared much for Elam in the recruiting cycle and have posted as such several times. I was overjoyed that he chose UK and not Bama as I think he will not pan out.

Tommy, LA said at the start that he didn't have proof; he said:

"This is not corroborated by anyone else, so take it FWIW. But this guy never bullshits me, and was dead on about the McKenzie saga before anyone else, and is usually dead on about pretty much everything else as well and it was in that context that he said what he said." ****

So to ask for proof is sort of besides the point. He gave us the context, didn't overpromise and posted. Frankly, it has the ring of truth to me, or something damn close. But it's not like I'm going to fire the guy based on gossip.

Besides, it's not like we ask for proof or footnotes or affidavits around here for the things people say, and it's not like it's a slap at your family honor or something (in which case, I'd support you). So, personally, I'd just take in the spirit in which it is posted. I don't see any reason to get picky about "evidence" in this case in particular.

You said Bama IS cheating. I said if you have proof then put it out here. That's not too hard to understand.

Didn't say the info on Elam was BS. Said I find it hard to believe he would say that to BK and if there was proof he did then put it out there.

As far as you and I, haven't had any issues with you. Didn't "call you out" in any post, and have thought your posts are pretty insightful. If you took it personal, then my apologies. That was not the intent.

Sometimes I wish the ESPN boards would go back to being anonymous so these trolls would go back home.

This is the difference between Tommy and most fans on most sites, and almost everyone else on the internet. His character shines through. I hope that is enough to get over the misunderstanding.

LA has changed a lot in the last year. Among other things, he has really gone above and beyond, and developed strong sources for good information. More than one source. He checks. His stuff is really good. Personally, I find him much more conciliatory these days also.

The most important thing is that I didn't read any post as an attack on NDinLA personally. It talking to LA personally, his passion about Irish football and his own integrity are very important to him.

I side with T Town on the Elam thing. As soon as he eliminated us this board became hellbent on making sure the kid was a "dodged bullet" making uncorroborated attacks on the kids ability, weight, and character.

Personally I think the answer lies somewhere in the middle. Just like everything.

I say you two should meet for a beer. I'll set it up, tailgate before a game. LA is pretty cool in person, wouldn't mind meeting you either, Bogs.

As big as that is, 400+ wouldn't have surprised me. Kid was MASSIVE and didn't look to carry all of it well. Compare that to McKenzie in this year's class who makes 340 look svelte.

That 375 is probably a bit generous. IMO, it probably does mean closer to 400.

Yeah, I really wanted Elam or Holly in the last class, but given the way we finished with the big guys we did end up getting....I'm glad we didn't end up with Elam or Holly. Elam may need a few years just to get in shape (if he ever does), and Holly hasn't played much football yet so he has a lot of technical work to do.

Hope he does well. Rooting for the up and coming SEC tams like Kentucky and Ole Miss. ND wasn't the school for him but he gave us an open mind and didn't string us along as a hat on the table.

I dunno, are you sure about that? Some people have said he was never actually that interested.

I think he acted like he was interested, but never really considered us because of his grades. Just my opinion.
