So, Wizards...does this girl live near you, or did you find this elsewhere?

If it's the former, you need to swipe right.

By "sky monster" does she mean the drones Obama used to kill American civilians without a trial? Because that's not fictional. That's like a real thing.

To be fair, it's not like the GOP has a real problem doing this either.

lol this is gold. Where did you find it?

Best part is that she denigrates an entire gender ("men are trash") and then immediately comes back and is like "general misogyny is so offensive to me."

...bruh

I'm not a fan of Lena, but this article is complete trash.

First of all, it's a nasty spirited opinion piece with zero citings outside of other opinion pieces. But it also makes pretty broad assumptions of what goes on with a dog with aggression issues. The author clearly has never had a dog with issues.

Again... not a fan of Lena. But I feel dumb for even opening up that article.

I dunno I thought the article was funny and that Lena Dunham was obviously lying because her story made no sense and was contradicted by the shelter.

This all started four years ago, when Dunham adopted a rescue dog named Lamby and wrote an essay about it in one of those standard, insufferable New Yorker personal essays that’s five million words too long. That essay, which included some fairly alarming details about the dog biting everyone (including Dunham’s boyfriend, who was already allergic to dogs to begin with), also included the curious tidbit that Lamby had three previous owners and three previous names.

Now, I’ve adopted a shelter dog, and all the shelter knew about my guy was where they found him. They usually can’t even give you an exact age when you get a shelter dog. You get a guesstimate. They were like, “Uhhhh, three?”

Dunham also claimed that Lamby “suffered terrible abuse as a pup that made having him in a typical home environment dangerous.” Again, how the fuck could she possibly know what happened to the dog as pup? It’s not like the dog can sit down next to you by a lake one day and be like, “This is really hard for me to talk about but…”

“We checked the records for Lamby,” Robert Vazquez told Yahoo Celebrity via email. “He was ‘owner surrendered, not enough time,’ so we do not know where she got ‘multiple owners that abused the dog.’” (In her New Yorker piece from March 2013, Dunham said the dog had “three other homes, three other names, but now he’s mine mine mine.”)

“When she adopted the dog from us, it wasn’t crazy,” Vazquez continued. “I have pictures of the dog loving on Lena and her mom, which is weird if the dog was abused. It wouldn’t be cuddling with her or be in the bed with her ‘boyfriend’ in the pages of Vogue.” (Lamby appeared with Lena in a 2014 Vogue spread, which also featuring her co-star Adam Driver. The dog, which seemed like a trained pro, was with the pair on city streets, in bed, and chilling with the pair in the bathroom.)

Vazquez says he personally was there “the four times Lena visited Lamby” prior to the adoption “because I’ve been in-charge of the dogs for the last 14-15 years at BARC. If Lamby had a bad past or was abused, do you think BARC would have adopted him to Lena knowing she’s a new star and put her — or the dog — in that situation? We would have told her if the dog had issues. We are a no-kill shelter. We don’t lie about the dogs’ histories because that gets them returned — and mentally it’s not good for dogs….

It's not like any of this really matters, but I thought the piece was pretty funny (because why lie about your dog?) and it was hilarious to see Gawkmodo going after one of their ilk so savagely.

I hear you, but how many people have you met that off hand told you that their dog was "abused by it's previous owner". Seems like a pretty common comment from people with troubled dogs. Just seems like they made a mountain out of a mole hill in order to orchestrate a hate piece on Lena. Not that it couldn't be done to a nice person though...

Yeah, that's ridiculous. Heroes give their lives and defend our country, they don't bake bread made from their own yeast due to a vaginal infection. If a man somehow baked his semen into some food no one would think that's courageous or powerful, they would think it's disgusting as it should be. Only some crazy feminist would applaud something like this.

I went reading through that author's other pieces, there was one here about chores between women/men in a household: https://www.bustle.com/p/even-good-husbands-are-sexist-heres-what-i-did-about-mine-3008554. I agree that men should/could help out around the house more, at least when the woman is also working outside the home, but the author's main contention is that women go through this perceived "emotional distress" planning meals. She highlights a yearly get together with friends where the women are emotionally drained from planning meals for the week while the men offer to help, but they're awful at it so they end up providing no help according to the author.

Who gets emotionally drained planning a meal though? I watch my kids 2-4 nights out of the week and I'm responsible for feeding them. I never stress about it, I make whatever is available and they eat it, end of story. Never have I been stressed about what I'm going to feed the kids. The whole conceived notion of this emotional stress of meal planning is silly and fiction. I'm betting these feminists are all worried they're going to make a dish that offends someone, or goes against certain diets like vegan, on this yearly trip and that's where the stress comes into play...when in reality they should just make what they want and if someone doesn't like it they can make their own damn food.

You don't want to comment on this and say the wrong thing. One of those 1-in-4 types might kick your socially constructed male butt.

My girl is petite, but ripped (well defined not huge) legs and arms. She gets on me for lifting too much when we work out. She's a moderate fem so now I'm starting to think this all some conspiracy.

If only we had a place like...oh...The Gentleman's Club where such pics could be tastefully displayed without public access. We never posted anything with wifes though, we had consenting models only!

Hell, on the Shag they have a private forum where people post R-Rated Plenty of Fish conquests, and an Ex-Wifes/GFs Nude Pics thread. It's like Kindergarten over here in comparison!

I'm still in the, "I'm actually good on a 'pics of posters exes' thread" camp... for sure...
