I’m guessing the ACC status will ultimately affect ND but the consensus down south seems to be that the games should be played in this fall. I would expect them to call it at the last minute though. SC has still had relatively high cases up to date.

The question is how they will handle positives. Will they quarantine players who came into contact or try to just sit out the sick ones?

MLB just had its third experience with losing a team. It will be much harder for colleges (with significantly larger rosters amd less ability to isolate) to do it nearly as well.

The political leadership in SC and similarly GA have done then bare minimum. I don’t have a whole lot of faith that the teams here will be able to handle it. Plus they are still talking about letting in 50% capacity of fans into stadium on game days. Let alone all the tailgaters and bar goers. IDK. Probably not a good idea. One or two games and we could see another statewide event.

What happens in the event that they actually play, and the whole QB room all gets infected?

Avery Davis/Abdur-Rahman/Bramblett time! We recruited all those HS QBs for a reason!

Kelly.......some kind of genius!

The main issue, as others have said, is the return of other students + the corresponding off-campus activities. I think we’ll know within two weeks how ND (and other schools) are or are not managing the virus.

I think it's how the players handle being amongst the students and if they have the maturity to restrict themselves, wear masks, etc.. So far the team has done well, but there's a long way to go.

Heckuva grab from Ben Skowronek over Nick McCloud and if Book can make that throw consistently to Mayer on the fade, good luck to any DB this year.

Loved seeing Mayer and Tyree getting the ball making plays in this video. I think the versatility of some of these guys is going to make a big difference making up for the lack of production returning at receiver.

TE depth is insane and we have some RBs (Armstrong, Tyree, Williams) who have serious receiving skills and should be able to move around.

Can't wait to see Rees get creative with these skill positions.

Smart move. Lots of inexperienced receivers this season, lean on the TEs (Not that they're much more experienced) and RBs.

Love what Kelly has to say about Ovie O. He has 2 years of eligibility after this season. I think his presence on the depth chart is playing a role in recruiting. And, I think some conversations around ND message boards are not accounting for this.
