Tom Zbikowski, Tyler Eifert, Theo Riddick, Robert Blanton.
I get goosebumps every time I watch Zibby's punt return VS USC in 05. You can FEEL the emotion from that play. When he shrugs off the last defender with the stiff arm, scores, and then starts tugging on his jersey like he doesn't know what to do with himself? Goosebumps every single time I watch that play. And I watch it a lot through the offseason.
Eifert was just so dominant in the red zone that it's silly, and he's the poster child for under-recruited monsters. And he's the best TE in the NFL behind Gronk, and he plays for my team, so that helps retroactively.
Theo switched from RB to slot and back to RB, and just kept going to work each year like a businessman. The work he did through 2012 was awesome. His performance against USC to lock up the spot in the natty was just silly good.
Blanton could tackle like no other CB, and I always respected the way he would make crazy run support from the CB position look like business as usual. His play against Utah was THE turning point for this program IMO. And he gets bonus points for putting a halt to MSU's trick play bullshit, after the defense had been burned the previous three or four years every time they played Sparty. I celebrated way too hard when he blew up that WR reverse pass in 2012.
