I looked at some Hunter tape, and I will pose this as a question, because I am not comfortable with my level quarterback knowledge, (or wider receiver, as well.)
I have my few posters I listen too for wide receiver info. But quarterback, that seems to be a more elusive thing.
Looking at Hunter, he seems to move 'exceptionally' well. In fact, I have seen a number of dual threat quarterbacks that don't move as well. His read option game (at his level) seems to be better than Everett Golson's was!
Is the classification of DT versus pro style based upon actual criterion, or mostly opinion? Is there actually something more tangible than being 'slow' or having a howitzer for an arm, or not being able to throw accurately, that classifies a prospect?
I believe that Tommy survived and even thrived because he had a head for the game, isn't that true? And Everett had freaky athleticism, so how do you classify him?
In high school, he was one of the statistically most prolific passers ever. At UND he continued to impress with his arm, but from my point of view, he was more likely a disaster with the ball in his hands.
Maybe this is simpler than I am making it, but it looks to me that Hunter would be great in the ND offense, a different flavor or variety than Malik? Certainly! But not able to take the keys and drive it? I don't see the concern, please lay it out for me.
