I am surprised that none of the sites have times for the in home visits

I think those might be kind of fluid. No real way of knowing unless a coach or player tells a site directly what time its taking place.

And since a coach is not permitted to talk to people about a recruit that has not signed his LOI you will not hear it from coaches. Best bet to hear about that is from the recruit's twitter.

How do college program sell their souls? In case of Vanderdoes, this week alone,USC,Bama,Wash,UCLA had coaches watching sister play hoops...
— Joe Davidson (@SacBee_JoeD) February 1, 2013

My optimism on EV stems from my idea of him as a person, and the fact that his mother is supposedly on board. If both views turn out to be fact, I like the chances of us getting a late NSD LOI.

I think this bodes well for us. Here are all these desperate guys hanging around the girls locker asking her to go to the prom when the ultra cool guy is standing by himself combing his hair.

Im telling you guys this kid is going to be all irish come national signing day. ND has a ton of momentum at this point recruiting him.

Eddie Vanderdoes is just a bigger version of Chris Zorich. Notre Dame will provide Eddie a national stage to perform his magic, but can he, like Zorich, win college football's Lombardi Award?

Was there an in-home last night?

I know EV isn't talking to the media, but was wondering TP or any other insider had some info on how it went?...thanks in advance.

Yeah Kerry would have very little to do with EV's recruitment. He tweeted he was in New Orleans right now anyway.

I was on my phone... I was gonna put the over analyzing in italics.

No way the tweet is related to Eddie, nor is it probably even related to football.

Just trying add some comedic relief to a stressful recruiting case... We need this guy big time.

Selling souls? I don't know.

But Muffin <sic> should take a look at this girl too.

Placer's Baylee Vanderdoes talks about team's win over Encina | Auburn Journal

The good news is she should be able to go where she wants, on her own merits.

I suppose that if I was a parent in this situation offering a scholarship at this point to my daughter would **** me off more than it would convice me to trust my older child to you.

Edit: Muffet, please forgive me. But you still may want to take a look at this young lady for three years from now!

I'm in the camp that thinks showing up to little sis' bball game is pretty darn lame. If we find out ND did it too, its still lame.

I am in agreement. But showing up (Muffin McG) after Eddie's recruitment is over, is definitely not. This kid is going to be good. I don't know how early college coaches start with girls, but I know the family of the number one rated AAU player in this region, and she has people talking to her parents already.

Right. If she is good she's good. But there is a line between recruiting and kissing butt, and this crosses it.

Confession: I am mesmerized by the number of people who can watch ladies' bball- especially the younger girls. It is the most boring and frustrating thing on Earth to me.

I don't know anything about how good EV's kid sister is at playing hoops. Shadier things happen when it comes to recruiting;, money, cars, high class coeds of the night, jobs for family members. The schollie offer to his sister isn't even close to the same level as some other things that are being done. It seems pretty desperate like others have mentioned on here.

I love my siisters dearly (all five of them), however, pretty sure I wouldn't want them going to the same school as me.

I concur, I went to the same college as my sister and it was horrible, she was a terrible c0ck block and she got so pissy when I nailed her sorority sisters....

Over on the USC 247 board some stuff is going around that EV told SC last night that he wasn't coming. Also some of the Scout guys that previously thought he would go back to SC are saying UCLA now. All with a grain of salt of course.

Just shows how much they really know. "if it isn't usc its Gta be ucla."

if you were already wrong what is going to make you right a day or two later.

I could give a guess too but i don't have a 247 twitter account so I'm not "informed."

Personally, I enjoy the suspense and surprises.

I like surprises (good surprises) too. However, I wouldn't mind seeing an "All is Well" about now.

I agree, but I don't want him going to Bama either. I'm so sick of them getting all the top defensive players then sending like a cattle herd to NFL, like fudge man, let a team like UCLA put some top DL in the NFL!!!

Or ND, yeahh, ND would be better actually!

It's kinda funny to me how much "experts" twist in the wind sometimes but random dudes on message boards who draw from multiple sources tend to get the clearest picture. I called Smythe committing over his visit the moment he moved up his visit date after a visit with Booker, even when "experts" said he was a "heavy Stanford lean." GITF and others I remember also said the same thing. And we were right.

And even beyond "random dudes"... people give TP a hard time, but he's more plugged in than anyone here and I think gets the "trend" or "lean" of a prospect right 95% of the time. There's almost no need to look at what recruiting "experts" say if you could just get TP on speed dial. I got a text Saturday night that Smythe was committing from someone on campus and was the first one to post it here in Smythe's thread... I found out later that TP had the info a whole half a day before I did.

My point to everyone? Don't put much stock in predictions for analysts this close to NSD. Chances are Ironman or Hollywood or GB or really anyone with a post count north of 1000 has better grasp of the overall situation than they do.
