^ That's a good point although I like our bigs playing both sports in HS. I grew up a UNC fan (at least until I got to ND), and watching what Julius Peppers could do on the field and on the court was stunning.

So, curious...how do you know if a high school kid has a mean streak or not? 5 minutes of highlight video?

Not intended to be fightin' words, but I don't know how we can possibly have that information.

All the reports about Him. That was the reason he dropped on Rivals rankings also.

It was from Mike Farrell's evaluation. He said he would be a much more effective OT and so his rank dropped as a DT

at 6-6 300+ ill put my money on the coaching staff that theyll make him a man...im not too concerned about "mean streaks".

Jarron has a brother named Jon Jones, whom i played with in college, but is not "the" Jon Jones. His other brother Matt (transferred from Syracuse) plays defensive end for us and I remember he had a great mean streak and is a really good player, he just doesn't have Jarron's jumbo frame.

The Jon Jones is from the Rochester area and is brother of Baltimore Ravens DT Arthur Jones(went to Syracuse) I met Him and his father on a recruiting trip to the Carrier Dome, they were both actually really nice and sat with my parents and I at the spring game cookout. Which goes to show that you can be a nice person and carry a nasty mean streak for a football game.

He must be in basketball shape. When we saw pics of him during his visit over the summer he was huge!

I actually like that he slimmed down. I think he should try to keep that weight until he enrolls so he can make sure he puts on muscle.

Always a good sing when a kid is listed at 6'7", 300 and he looks slim and proportional. He's going to be HUGE.

I thought the same thing about Garnett. I was standing by him at the State Volleyball Championships in Washington and he is big, but not as big as I would have thought for what I have read.

Remember somebody saying that Tuitt didn't look as big as they thought too--and you see how that turned out.

Can you imagine him on the line the rotation of Nix/Day/Jones with Tuitt and Lynch Anchoring!!! That is fricking awesome. What QB can escape that???

Going to take a huge drop in the top 247 player rankings. That's ok, the kid was in basketball shape and wasn't used to the competition. He also made strides through out the week and made plays in the game.
