Right. If she is good she's good. But there is a line between recruiting and kissing butt, and this crosses it.

Confession: I am mesmerized by the number of people who can watch ladies' bball- especially the younger girls. It is the most boring and frustrating thing on Earth to me.

I have never been a big ladies bball fan, but one of my grandaughters plays bball. She's in eighth grade and has been playing since she was 6. She is pretty damn good and I can't stay with her in a pickup game or a game of horse. Her school and AAU teams press and play aggressive. They are pretty fun to watch. She's good enough that she should end up with a scholly. She's got the academics and is shooting to play for Muffin, Muffy, Muffit.

It's kinda funny to me how much "experts" twist in the wind sometimes but random dudes on message boards who draw from multiple sources tend to get the clearest picture. I called Smythe committing over his visit the moment he moved up his visit date after a visit with Booker, even when "experts" said he was a "heavy Stanford lean." GITF and others I remember also said the same thing. And we were right.

And even beyond "random dudes"... people give TP a hard time, but he's more plugged in than anyone here and I think gets the "trend" or "lean" of a prospect right 95% of the time. There's almost no need to look at what recruiting "experts" say if you could just get TP on speed dial. I got a text Saturday night that Smythe was committing from someone on campus and was the first one to post it here in Smythe's thread... I found out later that TP had the info a whole half a day before I did.

My point to everyone? Don't put much stock in predictions for analysts this close to NSD. Chances are Ironman or Hollywood or GB or really anyone with a post count north of 1000 has better grasp of the overall situation than they do.

True except for one part...

I have 1000 posts too lol

hahaha... then you should make some predictions! They'll probably be better than people from Scout. Start each one with "I'm hearing..." for added cache ;)

Hell, I made some predictions in Who's Likely Next? a week ago based on nothing but gut feeling coming off of the OVs and they're trending towards being more accurate than any analyst. Very happy I was wrong on Folston *knock on wood*... that seemed to be trending towards sadness.

TP knows what is going on. What I like about TP best is the sense of humor beneath the internet persona.

He most likely has arrived by now.

Most importantly, without his mother.

Side note, it wouldn't be desperate if it was the woman's bb coach from bama, SC etc were checking her out, but there is no reason why a fb coach would be there. It's not like BK can tell Muffet to take her.

I'd don't know, I'm with Bogs on this one. I can't acknowledge her by any other name but Muffin;)

I was going to make a joke calling her Sara Lee or something, but I thought I would get some backlash. Eh screw it. Muffet now goes by Sara Lee.

I really think EV doesn't turn 'bama, mainly because I don't think he wants to make a rash decision. He has had time to reflect on every other visit and the impact it had on him. But right before signing day? No way he turns Crimson Tide based on 2 or 3 days of reflection. Unless he has preconceived notions of 'bama and is already a lean, no way.

I think all bets are off when Alabama is involved. They have everything going for them when it comes to the football aspect. If the kid seriously cares about his post-football career, he's probably ours. But 17 or 18 year olds are hardly thinking about what they'll be doing in 30 minutes, let alone 30 years. He knows Alabama has become a dynasty, and he's seen what Saban does with his defense. UCLA and USC don't scare me nearly as much as Alabama does when it comes to this kid.

I assume you mean it'll be a battle between ND and UCLA, is that correct?

Still wouldn't discount USC.

Bama....meh

Something I've been thinking about. I know he said he was deciding on signing day and all. But he set the time and scheduled the announcement without even visiting Alabama. I have no clue where he is going but IMO it's a ND UCLA USC battle. And my pick in the other thread is uscum. Go IRISH

I love my siisters dearly (all five of them), however, pretty sure I wouldn't want them going to the same school as me.

Sisters can make It easier to score also.... just depends on the sis....

Some things are pretty clear with EV's recruitment. First off he has not decided at this point. Secondly, Notre Dame is right up with the leaders. Thirdly, he will have a better idea where he is going once he has experienced Alabama this weekend. Fourth, his Mom favors ND. Fifth, ND is the only school under consideration who did not resort to stalking his sister at her basketball game and I have to believe that all of the Vanderdoes family will see this as a positive for Notre Dame. Finally, EV and his family have emphasized the importance that academic considerations will have in reaching this decsion.

I am convinced that Notre Dame will receive very serious consideration and while nothing is certain, our chances are very good.

I understand where you're coming from, but he could still schedule knowing he still had a visit coming up. With mom at home I'm more worried about UCLA than Bama. Bama has built something big, but if Kelly keeps this ship steered in the right direction ND will be right there in short order and who gets more publicity when they are on top?

It's a post on the Bama board not an article so no one here can read unless they used their free trial on Bama

I believe #Bama makes Eddie Vanderdoes think. In the end, still project #USC. #SigningDay

Being new to this I really don't have a feel for some of these guys. What has been Shurburtt track record been?
