I think EV is enjoying the fact that everyone loves him and thinks he is the future stud of their school. Who wouldn't? Every group of fans think he is coming to their school. I would not be shocked with anything at this point.

Yep. And I'm sure 'Bama puts on a good Official Visit.
But I still think this boils down to us and UCLA, just from reading what's out there to read, and putting myself for a moment in young Edward's shoes (to the extent a 34 y/o ND alum with a kid, a mortgage and a marginal high school football career can attempt to imagine what's going on in this kid's head).

Shurbutt is a clown, a true U$C fanboy taking a shot in the dark, amost always wrong.

All you need to know about JC Shurbutt you can learn from listening to his insane rant on Bill King's morning show where he called Te'o a scam artist and said definitively that Notre Dame was in on the whole hoax.

Yeah the so called experts are leaning that way and they know more than I. It's just the stuff he is tweeting about Bama. He sounds like he is committed there already yet they seem like the biggest reach... but would anyone be surprised if he landed there?

What so called tweets are you referring to? Do you mean the tweets about his exuberance of visiting Bama? He has had those for every recruiting trip he's been on.

FWIW, he tweeted a lot more during his ND visit than he has for his Bama visit.

Pro-ND things.

So sick of this recruiting cycle already. Amazing class....amazing kids that have committed already.

With us or against us....knock off the drama and just yay or nay.... So sick of the hat dance. Personally, if it's that important to you to draw it out, get to steppin'..... We'll live without ya.

I agree with that. That just furthers my original point that he is just loving the positive attention from the fans and appeasing all of them. I am not one to tweet at a future recruit whether they sign with us or not so don't get the impression i'm on of those Pyscho fans that go attacking them for their decision

I thin in this case the young man is truly weighing all his options. To me EV has been the one kid that I feel like really wants to be sure of the decision he makes and that he feels great about it once it's made.

I too am tired of a lot of the hype around NSD for these kids that crave the spotlight. I just don't think EV is one of them.

Still feeling good about him wearing the gold and blue.

Hate to be nancy, but tweeting a lot isn't necessarily a good thing, could signal boredom. Not saying this is the case, because it also could signal he had a great time and wanted to share with everybody (hence the pro-ND things).

Maybe he didn't tweet so much at Bama because they took his phone before putting him in a hot tub with strippers and a few bottles of Cristal. They are playing it safe after Marvin Austin's debacle while with UNC.

I'm thinking he can't tweet as much b/c he is too busy counting his stack of CASH and spraying up with deer antler spray.......

I believe earlier this week he said he wouldn't be communicating anymore with the media about his recruitment and would make his decision on signing day. I would assume this would also mean FB and tweeting things in regards to his visits or any of his possible future schools.

I agree. He hasn't been out there in Cyber land like a lot of these kids making it all about himself.

I wonder if Alabama does put on a great official visit compared to ND?Southern recruiting seems more like a marathon for regional kids than a sprint for national prospects.

Personally, I continue to like NDs chances for EV, but have no clue how he'll react to Alabama. I think where he goes is anyone's guess.

Does anyone know his schedule for Bama? Not asking for an hourly breakdown (but if you can provide one, by all means) but when he arrives and when he leaves?

FYI, these are all of his Bama related tweets:

EV4™‏@EddieVanderdoes

EV4™‏@EddieVanderdoes

EV4™‏@EddieVanderdoes

He's been pretty consistant with his tweets through out his recruitment...showing excitement at every turn and not giving any indication of which way he is leaning. I think he is really giving serious thought to each school and not wasting anyone's time. He only has once chance to make the right decision. the closer he looks at each the better ND looks. Don't like the drama but we don't have any say in the matter.

Quick question: I know it has been said in this thread that Eddie's mom is "all in." Where is that source? I thought it was B&G but I can't find it.

Not sure where it would be but 100% it was a post visit update by sapp. A source close to the situation said that mom was all in.

I'm not saying it isn't a good way to keep up with recruiting because it is. What is confusing is when people make statements like "he sounds like he's already committed to Bama" when he isn't tweeting anything that he didn't tweet about all of his other OVs. It isn't just one person. People read waaayy too much into kids tweets. You could drive into depression if you base all of your assumptions off a kids tweet. For example, check out tweets of every kid on an OV to SC. You'd swear that LA was the greatest place in the world and that every recruit in the country was going there. Not trying to single any one person out and I'm not referring just to EV's thread but people need to pump the brakes a bit on trying to decipher tweets. Unfortunately I don't think it'll ever happen.

I made that statement because of the fact that he tweets stuff like that about every OV. I see what you're saying though. We care about this stuff too much and I'm no exception.

Last year I was emotionally invested. Then Houston happened!

Learned to just take it as it goes. Here's hoping EV loved something about ND that other schools can't touch. If not, then I hope for the best. I refuse to let myself cuss the sky again haha

Yep. The Greenberry ordeal and the Michigan disaster has taught to just wait and see.

Update from Sapp via Bama 247 site says EV and his family are having a great time on their visit so far. Wouldn't really expect their site to say anything different though, so nothing really new to report.
