I want one of those helmets. They so lit, fam.

I wish the helmet gold would match the uni gold better, but that will forever be an issue just based on the fact that helmets can have metallic gloss to mimic the Dome, while cloth cannot.

C'mon, science! Catch up so the golds can match!

This was my first thought after seeing the last post of the uni. If the shades were at least the same it would be a lot better.

Yes, the shades match better in those examples. But they're never going to be exactly right, and you can't make an entire pair of pants out of the material that they do metallic numbers with, so it's *nearly* pointless to complain about the differences in the golds.

It could be better, but it will never meet everybody's standards.

I like the uniforms, unsure of the helmets. In some pictures, the helmet looks gold, but in the video, it looked yellow. If it is gold...as it should be...then I like them.

My biggest concern with the helmets is that it's going to look muddled when it's on TV and you aren't going to be able to tell what it is.

After seeing some more images, they're still fugly in general and those cleats are horrid.

As an aside, there was a photoshopped ND helmet floating around years ago that was pretty similar to this design. A couple of years back, I emailed a copy of it to the UA design team but they said they couldn't use it because it was someone else's intellectual property. Hmm...

I don't mind the jerseys. But I have always been against messing with the helmets. The helmets are iconic. Do what you want with the rest of the uniform; I get that kids today like to be special snowflakes. But quit fvcking around with the helmets. Either design a uni that works with the standard golden domes, or just don't do special unis.

problem with these "campus themed" uni's is that it just seems like UA sent an intern to south bend to take a few photos and when they came back they scribbled a uniform concept together. It's like when they did NW's uni's they saw a cool looking gate on campus and based their Gothic set on that.

I suspect this might be another alumni vs. football fan split. Usually alumni tend toward "alternate uniforms are stupid," but every alum I talk to absolutely loves these. "God, Country, Notre Dame" should be plastered onto every single piece of merchandise Under Armour and the University can come up with.

I wouldn't be upset if they announced these were the new every week uniforms. No italics.

That's how I felt about the SS unis in '14. The blue ND on the Dome-patterned lid just worked so well on TV, and the jerseys looked better on TV too.

All of my friends are ND haters, but they all raved about those jerseys and said they should be their standard uni. This current edition is getting a pretty similar reaction on social media among non-ND fans. Even the haters who struggle to say anything that's even neutral seem to really like these.
