I haven't read this entire thread but I just searched "Falcons" and came up with nothing.

The Falcons play the Bears the next day. This is going to be a full out invasion.

Thankfully the Braves are in town the weekend before the UGA game but the Cubs are still at home against the Brewers. We did the Cubs game the day before the UT game in '15 and there had to be 5000-7000 burnt orange shirts there.

The sports weekend of a lifetime for a GA football fan. Wrigley & the WC Cubs, ND v. UGA, Bears v. Falcons. I hope the skies open for 72 straight hours.

Great. So I will have to watch the Cubs win, the Bears get blown out and ND lose a heartbreaker all in the same weekend. Kill me now.

That would be a mortal sin ...

Not killing you ...

But ND losing yet another "heartbreaker."

If it makes you feel better I doubt the ND game will be close enough to qualify as a 'heartbreaker'....

So I got bored this morning and decided to venture over to a UGA football forum to see what they were think about our matchup. They talk like they've done their homework on our roster but I don't think they have.
-They claim we return just 3 o-linemen, but I know we return at least 4. Even better, one poster claims that only one of our o-lineman will "maybe" get a chance in the NFL. We all know McGlinchey and Nelson are first round picks.
-They say we only return 3 starters from our front 7. Is that true? I know we lost Onwualu, Rochell, and Jones. None of those guys will be that hard to replace except maybe Rochell. The front looks, at this moment, looks in pretty good shape if you ask me.
-They claim we lost "several key players" but the only one I can think of is Deshone Kizer, but we might've replaced him with someone better. I can't think of any other "key" players we have lost. If anything, we've gained more key players with Alize Mack and Shawn Crawford.

From a fan's standpoint, we have them right where want them. They're not giving us much of a chance and that's fine with me. They'll realize their opinions will be wrong when Daelin Hayes sacks Nick Eason's punk ass 3 times in the first half

I can assure you, the actual Georgia team knows who is who and how many of what we have where. Their fans may not but wouldn't assume the same for the team.

20 years later, UGA football legend Vince Dooley finally gets his trip to Notre Dame (DawgNation)

ATLANTA – There is nobody in Georgia’s camp more excited about the Bulldogs’ trip to Notre Dame this fall than Vince Dooley. In fact, it’s a trip he thought he’d be making as UGA’s athletic director two decades ago.

“I think it’s a great thing,” Dooley said. “It’s a natural.”

Dooley has a special affinity for Notre Dame, and it goes beyond the fact that his 1980 Georgia football team defeated the Fighting Irish in the Sugar Bowl to claim the Bulldogs’ second consensus national championship. He talked about rooting for Notre Dame growing up as a Catholic boy in Mobile, Ala.

“Growing up that’s where I wanted to go to school,” said Dooley, who ended up playing quarterback at Auburn. “I was a Catholic boy and we used to sit around and listen to Notre Dame on the radio. We’d have a rosary going as we listened, praying for Notre Dame to win.”

Dooley will celebrate his 85th birthday on Sept. 4, the Labor Day Monday before the Bulldogs and Notre Dame play. He plans to be in South Bend that Saturday.

“Greg McGarity invited me to go,” he said of Georgia’s current AD. “I haven’t heard anything since then though.”

Odds are Vince Dooley will get to Notre Dame, just 20 years later than expected.

Tough ticket: The most expensive college football games of 2017 #1 & #10

As of now, here are the most expensive regular season games of 2017, using the cheapest ticket currently available on StubHub. This is just the cost to get in the door.

1. Georgia at Notre Dame (Sept. 9) - $499

Two historic programs meeting for the second time ever. The 1980 Georgia team beat Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl and won the national title. In a time where so many big non-conference matchups are in neutral sites, it’s awesome to see a unique home-and-home series.

2. Alabama vs. Florida State in Atlanta (Sept. 2) - $422

Speaking of neutral sites, Alabama’s annual non-conference heavyweight fight is perhaps its biggest one ever. These teams could both be in the top 3, and the winner is likely your No. 1 after Week 1. The biggest key: How will Alabama’s rebuilt front seven do against Florida State’s questionable offensive line?

3. Oklahoma at Ohio State (Sept. 9) - $347

A rematch of last year’s Buckeye win in Norman, Lincoln Riley heads to Columbus for his second game as a head coach. All three College Football Playoffs have featured one of these teams.

4. Ohio State at Michigan (Nov. 25) - $295

Perhaps this one won’t come down to a 4th down spot.

5. Penn State at Ohio State (Oct. 28) - $285

The Nittany Lions’ returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown and turned that momentum into a Big Ten championship last year. This game could determined the Big Ten East.

6. Michigan State at Ohio State (Nov. 11) - $237

The Buckeyes yet again. Even the MSU game is a high price, showing just how high the excitement is in Columbus.

7. Alabama at Auburn (Nov. 25) - $222

Does QB Jarrett Sitdham make Auburn a legit SEC West contender this year? This game could have the division on the line.

8. Oklahoma vs. Texas in Dallas (Oct.14) - $218

Both Lincoln Riley and Tom Herman know what it’s like to coach in this game, but this will be their first as head coaches. Which is under more pressure? This rivalry has already been ratcheted up a notch this offseason in recruiting and subtweets.

9. LSU at Alabama (Nov. 4) - $210

This game was 0-0 into the fourth quarter last year, but Alabama has won six straight in the series. Ed Orgeron says Alabama is the standard, and the Tigers haven’t measured up.

10. USC at Notre Dame (Oct. 21) - $210

A national champion pick by some, if the Trojans are undefeated heading into this one, get ready for College Gameday.

The only game that does not include ND, Alabama, or Ohio State as one of the teams is Okla v Texas.

You got some, or you're selling?

If you got some: Lucky bastard

If you're selling: how much?

Was told I could have them, but I need to confirm. Not sure what the face value is. These are primo seats, maybe Row 30ish? Also have 4 in Row 1 of Upper Bowl, Section 120 (not bad seats, and has extra leg room. But back to Jumbo Tron now).
I'm committed to Temple game, so coming back up for GA is iffy. Let me confirm tix, then we can go from there. But I know the scalpers drool over 4 at the 50.

Lined up four tickets - pretty good seats too. Figured they would be quite profitable if I can't use them.

College Gameday?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

College game day is not scheduling a game that looks like a one sided affair. I will use this post to say I think its wrong to sell out this stadium to Ga fans and don't want to see a sea of red because $$$$ was to be made on tickets sales to people who want to rub your nose in it. I just don't understand that mentality. I live down here in Ga and have been asked by many if I can get them tickets-of course I cant but even if I could I would not. These are the same folks who made fun of Notre Dame a few years ago and trust me they want this game real bad. The Irish need be prepared for this game or it will be very ugly. Ga fans are typical sec chest pounders and want nothing else than come into that stadium and flaunt it. I think its brutal to be watching these game on TV and see red all over the place when there are Notre Dame fans (like Me) all over the country that would die for a ticket.

College Gameday would have nothing to do with the ND-UGA braodcast. For ESPN to send Gameday to South Bend while NBC broadcasts the game simply means this is the most hyped game of the week. Even though this is the toughest ticket to get this season, my guess is ESPN will go to Columbus for the Ohio St - Oklahoma game which kicks off at the same time on ABC.

Tickets are easy to come by if you simply show up. It's true people are willing to sell, but it's untrue that tickets are so difficult to attain. The reason why UGA's, Texas, etc "flood" in is because they only have one shot to make it to campus, so they show up.
