Technically no one is official. We probably won't get official word for a month on Lyght even. Sounds like Quinn and Lyght are pretty sure additions though.

I would ask how long it takes to verify a resume, but this is a school that took how many months to determine that 5 kids were dishonest... Also, O'Leary.

Meanwhile, the competition is neg recruiting the shit out of a coachless Notre Dame.

Fuck us.

Doesn't ND usually do background checks before any hire is official? Possibly that is the stage we are in. Jobs may have been offered and accepted, but nothing can be official until after the background check? That is the case at my university as well. The signing of the contract actually initiates a background check.

PS. After the George O'Leary situation, this certainly would seem a good policy.

Can I ask if you're an ND alum? Not particularly important but I'm always interested about our alumni in the academy.

Most definitely since the O'Leary fiasco.

We have 350+ days until next signing day. I would be more worried about hiring the right coach, at this point. If that takes a month, then so be it.

Minor impact if any. 15 just finished and 16 is just getting started. Kids we've already spoken to know those positions won't go unfilled. I also wouldn't be surprised if someone on staff has been in contact with the 16 kids letting them know that the positions are filled just need to complete the paperwork.
