The under the lights matchup was a nightmare. Lets just say there were things thrown and broken in my house, Denard could pick on one of our corners (whose name i wont mention) all night long.

You mean during the fourth quarter???...

That game rocked me like no game i can remember... I tend to see the UM game as a loss every year until the final second ticks off and ND is ahead... Don't drop games to MSU, Temple or Purdue and take two out of the three against OU, ASU and USC and you have to think nine wins should be in the cards... and that should be enough to keep another good class intact and move forward...

that's kind of where I am at... I am seriously debating watching this game,... emotions dog, emotions.

Yeah i think youre right, that fourth quarter was so bad it seemed more like all night.

I back flipped into the pool after last year's game, and that game was horrible... so yeah... ANY win and I'll be very happy.
Haha i woke up with the fight song in my head, theres not alot more that makes me happier than beating the skunkbears.

Admittedly "logic" rarely stands and prediction is worth less than a vdime for each of its letters, but here are two thoughts that I'm going with:

A). Hoke's good recruiting classes are not yet mature. Despite their wow values, they are not ready to transform Michigan into a powerhouse yet;

B). The UofM game is game number two. That shouldn't be anywhere near enough to get the defense [sans Ryan] nor the offense [with a searching Gardner] smoothed out.

"Prediction": The Notre Dame defense just gets more excited by playing at Michigan stadium and strangles everything that UofM tries to do except for a completion here and there to Gallon or a TE. The Big Boys are angrier than usual on both sides of the ball due to Hoke saying they were afraid to play him. Our offense needs only two TDs to win and gets three.

I hope a decent Central Michigan squad comes out fired up in week 1 and casts doubt in the skunkbears. Meanwhile, ND rolls over Temple, exudes confidence and sets the stage for a fast start from ND and eventual drubbing of the skunkbears. Prediction: 37-10, good guys.

Michigan sets dynamic ticket prices based on supply - ESPN

If you're trying to buy tickets to a Michigan football game this fall, it could be worth buying now because of the Wolverines' move to a dynamic ticketing model this season.

Michigan Dynamic Pricing
Michigan is going to let the market dictate the price of single-game tickets. The single-game price will increase as tickets are sold and the supply dwindles.

Michigan 2013 End Zone Ticket Prices
Opponent Season-
Ticket
Price Single-
Game
Price*
C. Michigan $65 $70
Notre Dame $65 $195
Akron $65 $65
Minnesota $65 $85
Indiana $65 $85
Nebraska $65 $110
Ohio State $65 $175
*Expected Initial Dynamic Price (end zone)
Single-game ticket prices will vary based on current market values for the ticket. For example, the price for Michigan games against Central Michigan and Akron might not move much off the season-ticket price of $65. But for a premium opponent such as Notre Dame, Nebraska or Ohio State, the school could end up charging at least double the initial ticket price, depending on when a person buys the ticket and how much supply is left based on the demand.

While Michigan won't be the first school to move toward a dynamic ticketing model, it might be the most high profile. Cal started using QCue -- the same company Michigan hired -- last season. So has Georgetown basketball. South Florida and Washington have used another dynamic ticketing company, Digonex, to experiment in college sports.

This has become a popular model in professional sports and the music concert and airline industries.

The new ticketing policy will apply only to single-game tickets for Michigan, not season tickets or specialty packs. Michigan set its expected end zone initial dynamic prices to range anywhere from $65 (Akron) to $195 (Notre Dame) per seat. Michigan-Ohio State is estimated at $175 per seat at this point. Michigan single-game tickets go on sale July 30 to donors and Aug. 1 to the general public.

"Dynamic pricing is a practice that has been widely used throughout the travel industry and is quickly becoming the standard across sports and entertainment organizations," Michigan chief marketing officer Hunter Lochmann said in a statement. "Pricing dynamically will allow us to adjust single-game ticket prices upward or downward based on real-time market conditions with the biggest factor being fan demand and ticket scarcity.

"We've seen strong demand for tickets and encourage fans to buy early to access the best deals."

Lochmann has familiarity with this type of ticket pricing. Before he worked for Michigan, he was the vice president of marketing for the New York Knicks.

^I guess the Irish should be honored that the ND game sells for more (at least initially) than the Ohio St. game.

Probably b/c there are more Irish fans in Michigan than Ohio St. fans, but in any event it's no wonder they're so butthurt over losing the series.

I imagine this will make some skunkbears alittle upset.

I will ALWAYS prefer wheelin and dealin with the ticket scalpers outside though. Best way to get a ticket, if you have no connections.

I think it is the fact that this will be the last ND/Michigan game in the Big House for the foreseeable future...thats driving up the ticket price. I think this may also be another night game, which could be why it's trumping their big rivalry. The 2011 ND night game broke the attendance record at the Big House if I recollect.

When I was an undergrad I know there was a kid who got sucker punched and needed reconstructive surgery in his face. What cracks me up is how respectful we are to all visiting fans; yet MSU and Michigan treat our fans like crap.

I've been pleasantly surprised by USC fans on the away games I've attended in LA.

I was at the Big House as an undergrad when we got curb stomped in 2007. Had beer poured over my head during the game, and got hit in the head by a thrown bottle on my way back to the campus bus after the game. Had to use my undershirt as a make-shift bandage on the ride home; still have the scar to prove it.

Never going back to that sh!t hole again.

Yep. I had a similar experience as an undergrad, though not quite as bad (no blood loss). Got into a fight in the stands, had full beers thrown at me after the game. The funny part is that the father of the guy I got into a fight with sent a LETTER TO THE OBSERVER (ND's student newspaper), which the Observer PUBLISHED, about how awful we were, when it was 100% the son's fault. Unquestionably the most hostile environment I ever experienced at an away game.

These stories do show how personal experiences vary. I've always had the best time at MSU. Encountered extremely friendly fans, no hostility at all. I'm always surprised by stories like adsnorri's.

Hollywood, seeing a game in the Big House is a hell of an experience though. Enjoy.

Most SC fans I come across out here are very in your face and talk a lot of trash... but they are easy to shut up, just ask them who was their QB before Matt Leinart or to name their ‘winningest’ coach in team history... something like that...

Most SC fans don't know their a$s from their elbow when it comes to college football and just love to jump on bandwagons and talk a lot of smack about how cool 'their teams' are...

for the most part, they are harmless... just super annoying.

With that said, I have encountered a few hardcore thug types that actually know the sport and take it way too far… you’ve seen them in Raider videos stabbing Charger fans… those types.

For the most part though, there is just too much going on in so cal for a lot of these ‘fans’ to really take it serious.

Didn't have any problems when I went in 2011. Pretty good experience with the fans there actually. Much better than East Lansing.

Agree. MSU was bad. Major fights in the port-o-john lines. Glad I just went in the woods.

Really, maybe I will give it a go!

My buddy and I have been going to one game every year for twenty years. We dress in full leprechaun attire. Went to the "Big House" the year Steve Breaston tore us up...boldly wearing our costumes . Wasn't too bad during the game...when you wear this kind of garb you need to expect a certain level of discord. But when the game was over it was brutal. There are only like four exits out of that place and they are narrow exits. Took forever to get out and our two Michigan buddies found a way to separate from us. I learned how deeply I could hate that day. Having said all of that...they are decent fans IF you don't show up as a Leprechaun.

I've seen the Irish play twice in the Big House....besides the couple dozen times I was called "rudy," no real issues. I was at the MSU night game last year, and all the spartys sitting around us told us how good the D looked and wished us good luck the rest of the season....i was pleasantly surprised in East Lansing

Well based off the evidence here NDinLA, I would say you will want to wear your ND gear and even think about a possible Leprechaun suit to spice things up. Haha

I did notice that opposing fans of recent like to use Rudy as a point of creating a joke. I usually have some smart *** remark back and all parties laugh and continue moving. I would have to assume that there will probably be some "chicken" themed jokes this year since Hoke called us chickens for backing out of the contract. I plan to have some well thought come backs for that **** as well. Might even make a t-shirt and wear it...

On a more football oriented note: I believe that a case could be made that although Michigan was a good football team last year, they were only so because of Denard Robinson's unusual threatening talent and a hard-working defense. Whatever their actual record was, they overachieved.

Here they come for another go, but without Robinson and several other top players [especially their injured defensive stud]. AND a new untried offense.

All the commentary about how good this team is going to be immediately cites Gardner and "another year of growth under Brady Hoke". I might buy some improvement due to "getting more familiar" with the systems, but the point is that last year wasn't really this offensive system. And Gardner has yet to prove anything spectacular to me.

I'd say that Michigan should, logically, be still one full year away from being what some think they are already. If this wasn't Michigan, with all this whacko stuff which goes on between us, I'd say we win this game pretty much under full control.
