Green Uniforms perhaps?
Lol people on the interwebz already ragging on the idea of green uni's
Really? Why? In this day and age, playing a game or two a year in alternate uniforms is the norm.
Or if it's abnormal, it's because so many teams wear alternate uniforms MORE than once or twice a year.
Green uniforms at ND used to be a grand symbolic gesture, but I don't know if the kids would look at it that way now.
Love it.

i think many believe them to be jinxed! Personally I love them and would like to see the Joe Montana Green and Yellow Uni come back one day.
It's the norm for some teams to play one game a year in an alternate jersey.
Like?
And most of the time they do little more than motivate the other team. They are a signal for "this is a potentially legendary game" and coaches don't want to throw that on the game, unless it's against Army.
What color is the winning uniform? That's all I would be concerned with.

did this dude just take a picture of his own green jersey?
Aren't the numbers gold on the green jerseys? Probably just a photoshop job.
It's definitely our most important game this week. We're not allowed to look any further past that. Sorry :/
Would be interesting to see the green uni's. However the blue ones with the shiny gold helmets are the sharpest uni in sports, in my opinion. Simple, clean, classic.
Oklahoma remains the great unknown. Their schedule to now gives us little indication of how good they actually are. They do appear to have some targets to throw to and the one rb out of the backfield will have to be accounted for on pass plays. Just an early look at this game, it appears ND will need to get some pressure on Bell while trying to keep the receivers in front of the dbs. The Sooner running attack seems to have 3-4 good backs with no one back being that far ahead of the others. Defensively it's hard to say since the lack of quality opponents doesn't give us a good measuring stick. All in all, it seems the game will be a good ole fashion fight till the end.

As far as important, this is definitely our biggest game of the year of the non-traditional opponents. USC is always the biggest, followed by scUM, then Stanford.
Kelly has been preaching fast starts all year long, so I don't see why we would break the mold and actually start fast against boomer Sooner. It would be nice though. Like last year, I think we also tend to play to the level of the competition, so I would look for a good effort just like we had against Sparty. The good thing is I don't think OU's D is as good as Sparty's.
Yeah, I was just curious from a ND fan's perspective, where it ranked on your list. Mainly was trying to gauge your guys' thoughts to see how amped up the atmosphere will be. Great stadiums are always good - but it's better for certain teams/games. I was curious if this is one of the bigger (biggest?) home game of the year for ya'll or was just a so-so whatever game.
I get all the coach speak - one game at a time, yadda yadda - but I'm not sure you can not look forward to certain games over others as a fan.

As for a prediction... I think Oklahoma rolls. Sorry, I just do. I think they eat us up with short passing plays, maybe hit the occasional big one, and Blake Bell keeps drives alive at will with his running ability. I think Oklahoma could realistically score 42-52 points on this slow, young defense.
If we come out with a better game plan I think our O can have success. The simple fact is, regardless of what stats say this year, the Big 12 doesn't play tough + physical defense like a Stanford or MSU. The only chance we have in this game is that the OL gets tough for once and we have success running the football, control the clock, cause some turnovers, and capitalize in the redzone. We will probably need to get north of 30 to have a shot.
I think ND is going to have to play well above where they have been playing to win. I don't know about the 42-52 points, I think the game will end up be very close. I'm not entirely sold on OU, I think they are playing better football than Notre Dame, but I don't see them rolling over us. You're right, ND is going to have to play much tougher than they have these last few weeks. If our lines come out and play nasty, we could have some success. I've got a feeling we'll find a way to run the ball-which I think is key to ND having a chance to win. Ive got absolutely no logical reason to believe we can run as they've showed no indication that they can run the ball consistently, it's just a gut feeling I have. Im interested to see if Malik Zaire gets an situational packages, Kelly's comment about him being part of the game plan caught my attention.
The keys to ND winning
ND comes out with a perfect gameplan and it is executed perfectly with the right adjustments.
ND takes some risks. We cant be too conservative and get down early.
ND runs the ball with moderate success.
ND moves to the four man front and makes blake bell very uncomfortable.
ND starts the game with some speed on the field in a nickel or something similar to keep up with the underneath routes.
I think ND has the talent to win, its just something has been off. Its not like the CW years when we were just out-gunned. If everything clicks, ND can certainly win.
