Lol this is so hilarious to me considering I got an email yesterday from Fordham's president saying that we are creating a "Chief Diversity Officer" position on campus.

Soak it in man. Catholic universities have caved to "diversity as the highest principle" rather than worrying about educating students in the Faith.

Yeah the posse thing is really befuddling. I literally refer to my friends as my posse all the time. Lost what little respect I have for the King Flopper.

Evidently posse = thugs in James world. He was upset because Jackson referred to two of James business associates and friends as his posse. I always thought posse referred to a group you hung with, but then I'm an old white (don't you dare call me whitey) guy.

All too many universities, both public and private, have caved to indoctrination of their students and telling them what to think rather than educating their students and teaching them HOW to think.

This is 1% LBJ and his "business associates" being offended by Jackson referring to them as a "posse," and 99% anger Jackson called them out for being pampered brats thinking the whole league revolves around them.

Yea, isn't this where they all laugh at Jackson for not knowing "Posse" is so 90s...or something of that nature. What Jackson meant no one knows, but all other aspects of how he conducts his life tell us LOUD AND CLEAR the man is in no way racist.

That title is so misleading. As the article states, he was posing "rhetorical questions" about how 2nd Amendment advocates would respond if he bought a gun and shot Trump supporters. Another of his tweets was about driving into people.

Said person created a Beyoncé class...that's all I would need to get that person a psyche eval.

And those tweets should get him fired. He's an animal.

I really do think its pretty silly that MJ, LBJ, and others think that they are "businessmen" who built empires through their business savvy. I wonder if Ronaldo thinks the same thing?

If you are the best basketball or soccer player in the world, you are an automatic commodity, and companies like Nike, Coke, etc., go out of their way to build your brand and then associate their product with your brand. Companies want to be associated with the world's best-known and liked winners, and you are one of them. The players don't create this "business" in any way shape or form, aside from being able to say "no," getting complacent and not taking advantage of opportunities, or acting like such an ass it falls apart (Kobe).

But the money is a natural result of their unique talent/position, not their business savvy. Essentially, it takes being smart enough not to screw it up. No one was buying the Jordan-brand clothes that Nike designs if Jordan wasn't the man. All the business savvy in the world would not have gotten him any of that money. None.

It would be like Mark Hamill thinking himself an incredible businessman for being Luke Skywalker in a movie that unexpectedly took off. Even getting himself a share of the profits doesn't make him anything other than a person with common sense taking advantage of their situation. No business savvy in the world would have gotten him within 1,000,000 miles of that money had his face not been permanently associated with Luke Skywalker.

Or its like saying Brad Pitt is a brilliant business man because look how rich he got compared to other actors. Well, I wonder why that is...

Not faulting the guys for cashing in, but cashing in does not a businessman make.

Now Magic Johnson built something. He went into neighborhoods that he uniquely understood, took businesses there that he thought were needed and could thrive. Learned about them. And then went to work selling something besides his face and his image. That is a business man.

Have you heard the entire story though? Miami was traveling to Cleveland and then were going to go to Toronto. They were going to spend Thanksgiving in a hotel in Toronto. James offered to have the team and all of the traveling crew over to his house for Thanksgiving instead of having a meal at a hotel. Selfish bastard...

Yes, his reaction to the word posse is over the top, but Jackson's criticism is also wrong.

LBJ has always seemed like a generous guy and a great teammate. But to accuse Jackson of being racist is over-the-top. Its being ultra-divisive in the name of being anti-divisive.

He should have just accused him of being petty, or a hater, or something.

I agree completely. In fact, if you look at the response from Maverick Carter(James' agent), he even states that he doesn't think Jackson is racist but that his word choice was incorrect.

Why is it that with Trump's election, Democrats are fleeing to Canada and Scandinavian countries?

Shouldn't the inconsolable members of the party of diversity be moving to places like Mexico, Haiti, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Afghanistan, Lebanon, so they can share their views of tolerance?

They don't want to expose non-white countries to their racist white ideas.

City renames 2 holidays deemed culturally insensitive | Fox News

Good old Bloomington IN

The city of Bloomington, Indiana, has renamed Good Friday and Columbus Day because the names imply a cultural insensitivity, according to the Bloomington Herald-Times.

The new, more politically-correct names will help make the holidays more inclusive, the mayor said.

The change was made Friday by Mayor John Hamilton, who sent a memo to city employees.

"We are terrifically proud of our diverse workforce at the city," Hamilton wrote. "That diversity makes us stronger and more representative of the public we proudly serve. These updated names for two days of well-merited time off is another way we can demonstrate our commitment to inclusivity."

The Herald-Times reports that "all city employees receive paid time off for Columbus Day, a federal holiday ... and Good Friday, the Friday before Easter Sunday. In the future, the city will be calling these paid days off 'Fall Holiday' and 'Spring Holiday.'"

Good Friday is not a federal holiday but is observed by many Christians as the day Jesus Christ was crucified by the Romans.

Columbus Day is a federal holiday noting the arrival of the Italian explorer in the Americas, on Oct. 12, 1492. Columbus Day has come under fire from liberals who claim the discovery of the Americas by Europeans led to centuries of oppression of Native Americans.

Dissing and dismantling the holiday became more a left-wing cause when the late Howard Zinn, a political science professor at Boston University, spent the first chapter of his 1980 book, "A People's History of the United States," flaying Columbus.

"To emphasize the heroism of Columbus and his successors as navigators and discoverers, and to de-emphasize their genocide, is not a technical necessity but an ideological choice. It serves -- unwittingly -- to justify what was done," Zinn wrote in his celebrated left-wing tome.

The news likely does not come as a surprise to residents of the city of Bloomington. The city and surrounding Monroe County -- thanks mostly to the presence of Indiana University -- are overwhelmingly liberal. The county gave Clinton 58.6 percent of the vote -- almost a 14,000-vote margin over Trump.

The news of Bloomington's Columbus Day erasure came the same day that Columbus Eastern High School defeated Bloomington High School South.

Columbus, Indiana -- the home to Gov. Mike Pence, now the vice president-elect -- is Bloomington's eastern neighbor. It was so named in 1821.

I'm sure Christmas is next.... Winter Holiday... SMFH....

Just gives me another reason to hate the B1G. This is IU's fault somehow.

I went to IU for bus school back in the late 80s early 90s. Good school but the faculty (profs) were overwhelmingly libs. I was constantly pounded with lib messaging in almost every class. The student body, was not overwhelmingly lib. The business school folks just laughed.

It's comical how the city has a problem with the history of these holidays and the significance of their name, yet they have no problem with their employees still getting a paid day off to honor these days. Double standard? nah....

Time to erase more history and hide religion.....
Nothing like sanitizing with pay...

The irony of changing the name of Columbus Day to appease minorities is that the day itself was created to appease minorities.
