Holy crap: 'All Lives Matter': Texas Student Sent To Diversity Workshop | The Daily Caller

Best quote:

There are some stupid fucking people in this world.

Is there a bigger disgrace to the Catholic education system than DePaul University? First they suspend a pro-life student when the pro-abortion people vandalized a pro-life display. Then Milo. Now this.

Conservative writer Ben Shapiro: University invoking 'rioters' veto' nixing speaking gig | Fox News

Ben Shapiro on Being Banned from DePaul: ‘They’re Equating Words with Violence’ | Mediaite

The bottom line is, higher ed is run and dictated by one core set of values... for all the talk of diversity and the like, there is none within the powers that be for the most part... So, you get a bit of inmates running the asylum going on and no one with the power to do anything realizes the error of their ways... because they all group think in the same base circles... just a wee bit of diverse thinking in the President's and Dean's offices would do wonders...

I don't know anything about the pro-life vandalism thing, but if I was an institution of higher learning (religious or not) I wouldn't want Milo or Shapiro speaking at my school. They are both unapologetic instigators that don't give two shits about the core values of the university, safety of students or broadening intellectual debate. They only care about being controversial and divisive.

I hope they replace him with a conservative speaker that will honor the nature of what a speaking event like this is supposed to invoke. Not instigate protest, encourage riot or hate speech.

Are you kidding me? Milo goes to DePaul, BLM riots, and that's Milo's fault?

Milo is a troll, I won't argue with you on that. But Shapiro is an intellectual.

I'm sure they will collect all of these and teach his thoughts in future political science lectures.

As much of a piece of shit that Milo is, at least he owns it. He doesn't try to cloak himself in a fake banner of being legit. He knows he's an instigator and just rolls with it. Shapiro does the same thing and tries to play it off like he is an intellectual. It's pathetic.

I got a lot of dead links in your post, but I can at least respond to this one.

Shaprio is mocking Milo for calling Trump "daddy." They have particular disagreement over Israel since Milo's alt-right hangers-on are some of the most vile people on the internet. Shapiro gets Nazi imagery thrown on him on a fairly regular basis.

Also, since when did you become such a little bitch? Telling jokes on Twitter shouldn't be grounds to get banned from a university.

No, encouraging riots and creating chaos does. If he wants to speak on tv or at your local hate group meeting, then great. But that isn't the nature of higher education. Intellectuals don't use the tactics he does and intellectuals don't "tell jokes on Twitter".

I fixed the links for you.

Absolutely 0.0% of what you shared indicates riots, chaos, or hate. Not one word.

Lolz. Whatever. If that's your version of an intellectual, then you aren't very cerebral yourself.

Furthermore, they didn't even cancel the event. They wanted to reschedule it in order to put him in a lineup with other speakers of other viewpoints. Shapiro is the one that blew it out of proportion with thought provoking prose that only our intellual best could provide....

Shapiro and YAF have vowed to take their event to campus anyway, without the permission of the school. “The campus fascists have taken over,” Shapiro told Breitbart News. “I pay taxes in the state of California; I’m paying for these whiny children to be indoctrinated by radical leftists. For CSULA to pretend that they’re trying to provide balance isn’t just stupid, it’s insultingly stupid. I am the balance, and they’re too afraid to let me speak. These aren’t diversity warriors. They’re jackbooted thugs. If they want to call the men with guns to shut down free speech, they’ll demonstrate clearly just who they are. I’ll be there on Thursday. See you there, snowflakes.”

What the hell are you talking about? This has nothing to do with CSULA, I'm talking about DePaul University. There was no attempt to reschedule.

I misread, as I assumed this was the first time that his shithead status got him kicked off a campus, but my point has never been directly about DePaul. It's about how laughable it is that you consider him an intellectual. I wouldn't let him on my campus, whether it's CSULA, DePaul or the Sisters of The Poor.

He's a charlatan. No wonder you like him.

'All Lives Matter': Texas Student Sent To Diversity Workshop | The Daily Caller

..the student senate approved a measure giving SGA president Shane Smith exceptional one-time powers to punish Sethi as he saw fit. In response, Smith released a letter Friday outlining a set of five punishments for Sethi. The punishments include:

A 50-day suspension from SGA starting August 1. This suspension will be unpaid (she currently receives a stipend of about $700 a month).
A requirement to attend a three-day diversity workshop in mid-August.
A requirement to attend three “UH cultural events” each month from September through March, excluding December.
An order to write a “letter of reflection” about how her harmful actions have impacted SGA and the UH student body
An order to put on a public presentation Sept. 28 detailing “the knowledge she has gained about cultural issues facing our society.”
If Sethi refuses or fails any of the requirements, she will be kicked out of SGA entirely.

I don't follow Shapiro (mostly because his personality annoys me), but does he support Trump?

Holy hell. I spent 10 minutes on Twitter (never a good idea) and the SJWs are crying that Suicide Squad is getting bad reviews because the leads are POC.

I TOTALLY agree with you. Damned dangerous letting a guy speak on campus when he might challenge the students' biases, beliefs, or ideas and get them so upset that they pull fire alarms to stop him from continuing, or they riot because they disagree with his words and feel attacked. I'd just throw one of those #safespace thingies at him and tell him, "No sir! Our students know what to think and we don't need you challenging them and putting ideas in their head!" Much, much better to play it safe and bring in a terrorist sympathizer, a BLM organizer, or a radical feminist who'll tell them what they want to hear and cause no problems.

The last statement is my thing here,... If this were any of the long line of left approved antagonizers there would be zero discussion, bc nothing would have happened outside of the aforementioned speaking event.

It's funny, because all three reviews I read mentioned Viola Davis and Will Smith as the only redeeming qualities of the movie.
