You're on acid, Columbus is one of the best cities in the Midwest and quickly climbing up the ranks nationally. Just as Ann Arbor is one of the best mid-sized cities in the country. People who say one of those towns sucks are revealing their ignorance.

No but seriously Ann Arbor is a whore.

I agree, both cities are awesome and I would be happy to live in either.

As a city, Columbus is great and Ann Arbor isn't in the same league IMO. Lived in Columbus, been to Ann Arbor twice.

They both are elite football schools with the best coaches in the country, so city doesn't really matter.

Cities shmitties...

If that mattered in the least bit Georgia Tech would've won the last 20 National Championships.

Coming from somebody that lives in Michigan I'm sure you have sooooo much to be proud of

1) I don't live in Michigan.

2) there are some stunning parts of Michigan, especially the UP and the lakes. Ohio meanwhile just sucks ass. It's a redneck state in the north.

3) Ann Arbor is a nice little college town. Very hipstery and there are a lot of douches, but it's a nice, clean, scenic little town with lots do do. Columbus is a wannabe big city that is really just a piece of shit when compared to the real cities in this country like Chicago, SF, LA, NYC, Miami.

4) the winter weather sucks ass in both states, would never live in either state, but especially Ohio

As someone who lives in Canton, Ohio, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Ohio is a great place to raise a family and to have a multitude of things to do. There are big cities in Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati to get great food, attend sporting events and experience arts and culture. There are also rural areas such as Hocking Hills and Amish Country, just to name a few, to have great experiences at. Your stupid, fvcking Michigan posts are annoying enough but you come off as a complete ass on this topic.

Lived in both. Same thing except Michigan has a dedicated ag school, better beaches and snowmobiling opposed to Ohio having roller coasters, better politics, Miami U and the city of Cincinnati.

Ann Arbor might be a good college town but Oxford is the greatest college town. The B1G made a big mistake by not including Miami back in the day. Love and Honor!

This! I was born and raised in North Canton. I spent many summers driving the hour to Cleveland to catch an Indians game, going to Blossom Music Center to catch all of the major concerts, spending a day at Cedar Point riding the best roller coasters in the world(at that time), or just hanging out at a local pond, fishing with my buddies. We left the house before 8am each morning, and came back home when the street lights came on...... usually. Fall was football; we played on weekends at Price Park, we watched every Saturday, and we talked about it nonstop. Winter was the end of the NFL season. We didn't care how cold it was outside; we were all huddled around the TV worshipping at the shrine of American football. When you were forced to go outside, there were plenty of local hills to sled ride on, there were plenty of frozen ponds to ice skate on, and there were plenty of snow covered parking lots to do donuts in.

I've been a bit of a nomad my entire adult life, so I feel perfectly qualified to say this:

Where you live is what you make of it. You can find entertainment and fun just about anywhere. You can find culture just about anywhere. It's all up to you.

Yep. Its a bit frustrating when people suggest otherwise. Don't need to live in(or even nearby) a major metropolitan area to be entertained or experience culture.

Are we talking about white culture or black culture?

If only there was a study published a couple days ago about places to live...

Best Places to Live | U.S. News Real Estate

Ann Arbor not listed because it's too small. Columbus is #50... so perfectly average for a US city. Cinci is #37, Dayton is #69, Toledo #75, Youngstown #77, Cleveland #87... not exactly a lot to right home about for the great state of Ohio.

Michigan has Grand Rapids at #13, Detroit at #86.

Since there isn't going to be a 2015 Envy's, I'm hereby claiming the title of '2015 hottest WAG' award, unless there's a challenger within 24 hours of this post.

Please let me have this. I'm tired of just being most likely to get banned and a participation ribbon for funniest poster. She's going to dump me in time anyways so just let it happen.

I am willing to let you have this and not challenge you. Only if we we have 2016 Envy's next year.

Didn't you win last year? I vote that if you win WAG, you don't get to be nominated again unless you re-up/the current one gets a boob job. Only fair since theoretically, it's going to be the same girl every year otherwise.

Otherwise Brick could bag a 10 and we'd all be SOL for eternity.

I'd say the citizens of this great country currently believe that Michigan and Ohio (and Illinois, Rhode Island, Maine, Vermont, and West Virginia) are not the most desirable places to live.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_population_growth_rate

Not sure if this is just a joke or not, but growth rate is a pretty bad way to gauge whether a place is a good place to live or not.

Vermont and Maine in particular, rock the party like the party don't stop...
