I've never heard another announcer nor "imagined" another announcer be so biased against ND as Flutie has been. People ragged on Hammond, but he was never considered biased. Some people didn't like Mayock for his color commentary, but his bias was never brought into question. Same for Haden, he was never criticized that much. Flutie? It's very apparent he can't say nice things about Notre Dame when they're doing well, and he jumps on the chance to point out their flaws. I pointed out in the very opening series of USC the bias. We drive down the field on a TD and Flutie had criticism for Wimbush while praising Jack on the play despite the fact he was out of position. Bias aside, Flutie isn't even decent at color commentary. He's garbage. Nobody is asking for a homer, but many of us would taken Haden or Mayock back if it meant Flutie was gone.

I agree that Haden was never as bad as Flutie. I mentioned him because it can't just be a coincidence that two our most recent color commentators have strong ties to our historic rivals. So it seems like NBC is intentionally hiring people that are likely to be biased against us to call our games.
