I'll donate $50 to the site if we let IrishPat and NJNP go at it for one day on here.
IE Pay Per View......... hmmmm

Seriously, if the mods could contact them and set up a debate. Make it an invite only group thread and only have them post. Make a poll and the winner of the debate gets to come back (not saying for how long, they'll probably get banned again).
$50 buy in to get an invite to the lounge and a vote. Proceeds go to charity of winners choosing.
This could happen.
That moment you realize the Mods have their own forum.

Make that a donation of $50 to my pocket, and I'll set it up.

He gave a face on IE to the anger and frustration that many in the black community feel. He offered an opinion (although at times, perhaps, too strongly) that makes many uncomfortable. I thought many times as he posted that when everyone bands together to tell him how wrong he is that it appeared to confirm the very points he was making in his posts. IE's reaction to his posting of uncomfortable points of view ... banning! Does not seem too constructive, IMHO. Do we think IE's actions made him question whether he was being a troll or do you think it just demonstrated to him that he was right all along? I acknowledge that he sometimes went too far, but I would argue that others did as well in what appeared at times to be a relentless attempt to discredit him.

I'd paypal $50 to IE if Pat was given a chance to post again.
Let it go, just email the damn guy or skype with him. Your man crush for this man is out of control.
My thread is powerful and has unlimited potential in days like these....
Wow, another thread turned racist/political, who would've thought.
anyone else see the irony that the NJNP banning has seemingly opened the door to an IrishPat return via the New Years IE PPV smackdown?
Just like WWF or WWE or whatever it's called. Story lines being written behind the scenes. Didn't you know Vince McMahon owns IE?
Koon isn't alone. I found Pat to be hilarious and would welcome him back.

Yeah, outside of the racist rants, angry diatribes and personal attacks.... he was swell.
I don't want to skype with him or email him. It's not like we're close. But he was awesome on here and the funniest poster IMO. Could be rackem but he went soft, and irishsteelhead doesn't post enough.
I will up the anty (antie?) to $100 schillings.
What a business opportunity for the owner. All this Pat money = updated banners, more attractive look, and a member that will keep people coming back. #FreePat!
Really?
I would bet the mods would disagree with you on this. I would guess their inboxes were full of people saying the exact opposite.
The difference, Koon, is that a guy like Pat actually kept people off of the site, whereas no one stopped visiting just because he was banned.
And for the record, I never took him personally, and I had my fair share of heated debates with him. I thought he was funny, mainly because I read his posts in Charlie Kelly's voice, which brightened my day. His insane rants matched Charlie's voice and character perfectly, to go along with his avatar of roid-rage Charlie Kelly.
Having said all that, now that I'm a mod, can't say I'd look forward to his return like I would have in the past.
Fair enough. But I do not understand why people who don't like a poster do not block them. It's a perfect solution. I believe the people who constantly complain about a poster but do not block them, are drama mamas. I'll never understand why the people who allegedly can't stand me on here don't just block me.
