On one hand you have a guy with flawless technique, incredible film, and fantastic intangibles... but less than desirable measurables. On the other hand, you have a guy with A+ measurables... but character concerns, and questionable film. Who gets taken where?

A few years ago, Lewan over Martin is a no-brainer all day long. With the NFL becoming so image conscious and some teams (sans the Raiders, Cowboys of the world) relying more on "safe" picks than "boom or bust" types, this could be an interesting debate.

*The sad thing is Lewan should be heading into the draft with the same hoopla Jake Long did, but clearly squandered that through uninspired play and poor choices.

At the NFL combine last month, Lewan denied being in any sort of altercation.

"I went over the Ohio State incident once before. I wasn't in any fight of any kind," Lewan said. "I was actually breaking something up and some guy said that I slugged him, but that's not who I am off the field, that's not the kind of person I am.

"It might seem that way because of the way I play football, but that's not the way I am as a person."

I love how players are often suspended...unless Notre Dame is on the schedule. You can almost bet that their punishment will be lifted that very same week. Funny how that works, huh? All punishments should just be listed as "Suspended until Notre Dame."

9-3 against that schedule is actually pathetic. It either means they lost to OSU, ND, and MSU and have 0 good wins or they beat one or more of those teams and lost to the worst Big 10 teams. I suppose Utah could be okay but the other 8 teams are really bad.
