Mike Farrell is the worst. I really dislike this class, but some of the criticism makes no sense to anyone paying attention. "Early takes that are reaches" is literally the opposite of the problem. We needed to take way more guys early instead of getting complacent with a class that wasn't full and wishing for guys who clearly weren't coming here. "Help themselves enough at QB" well I'm sorry you don't think an All-American is a good enough get when there's a borderline 5 committed in the class coming behind? Who else are you going to get to take that spot? It's like he's not even trying to understand the problem.

For what's not in it. I really like some of the pieces we got... Wright, Robertson, Lugg, Ewell are very good prospects I think could be elite contributors. Very sad to lose Adebo though.

I don't like how we're at least 2 bodies short at both WR and DB, and how we have zero pass rushers (again). If we don't add at least those 5 bodies then the class is a pretty big failure. I also don't like how we have zero top 50 players... but we're 4-8 sooo... is what it is.

Gotcha. There is a procedural problem in ND's model. When a group of guys on an internet fanboard can crowd source a list of five (or more) worthy high 3 or 4 star players during their junior years that would crawl over broken glass and rusty tacks to get to South Bend.

These kinda guys you lock up early. They're out there every year.

Can't wait for Feb 2 and all this speculation and duplicity to get behind us. Let's hope a few guys are happy to stay for a fifth year and that we get no more defectors. Could use a few of them back for depth. If Kelly wins and the team has a different look then 2018 recruiting will take care of itself. Considering we are 4-8 a top 15 class is pretty good IMO. Could it have been better? Hell yes but for those who are too short sighted to see what a real degree from ND will do for them I say good luck elsewhere. Bring on spring practice and Blue Gold game!

NDC, I'm not saying Farrell is right about his opinion on our QB recruiting, but if he is taking about the 2017 class I don't see why he would consider 2018 class for the articles purpose.

Now in real life recruiting yes his commitment behind Avery makes a difference in how you can view Book followed by Avery at QB.

It's a terrific read every week. I was a little surprised about the Owusu prediction, honestly. They did say a coin flip but I was surprised to hear anything but ND.

I still really feel like Oliver ends up in Michigan if he makes that trip this weekend. Time will tell.

I don't know for sure, but NSD is right around the corner. ND is probably fine with the kids not announcing now, if they want, but if they are thinking about announcing or they plan to announce soon, ND would probably love making a big splash on NSD.

Thing is with kids who are currently "committed" elsewhere, they may want to do it asap so that their former school can try to fill their spot. Honestly though, it may be too late to even do that.

I don't have behind the wall access to any services so I don't know anything except what is Twitter/free service based but my opinion would be:

Lastly I'd go with Harris. Harris being "lastly" isn't a bad thing in this case. Mom's been giving out serious buying signs. Couldn't look much better. As always ND is Mom approved and she's an LA girl who hooped at UofA. She's been through it as a player and knows what ND offers.

I think there certainly could be. A member here said another recruit had been offered and nothing has surfaced about that yet. I'm not going to go over it just in case he got bad info but it sounded juicy to me and I have/had no reason not to believe him.

I think there will be either a surprise on NSD a post-NSD signing or maybe both.

They absolutely need another CB if Yeast says no. (I'd like to see one more if he says YES)

Is anyone expected to make their decision today or tomorrow or will we have a busy NSD? Personally, I like have multiple guys commit on NSD; only having your committed players sign on NSD is kind of boring lol.
