anyone else miss the days where when you log on ND would have random commitments?
You're right, it's not. BUT there are a lot of guys who are ND fans that ND ignores for too long and those guys get a taste of the business and lose that fandom.
During the '15 season, they had Dax Holifield on campus for the Navy game. They didn't come up from NC because they hate Notre Dame. He's one of the Top 5 OA LB's in the country and they still haven't offered.
They slow played AJ Dillon instead of locking that kid during the '14 season. When I posted his profile in June of '15, he already had 4 CB's to ND and offers from all the NE schools. That's lazy not to know Thom Gatewood's grandson is going to be ND level player. Hell he was already 215 running 4.6's as a soph.
Last one for now cuz I have too many of em, is AJ's HS teammate Finn Dirstine. Finn's 6-5, 320 OL 4 star College OG who is a very good athlete for his size. More importantly he's been all over ND's jock from Day 1. He's unofficialed the last two years, his background on his 247 and twitter pages were ND pics, his profile pics are ND related. Still no offer or if you are slow playing him at least leak his name to the analysts so they are tweeting him up. Kids need to see that. We don't need anymore, Pat Fitzgerald, Mike Alstott, Luke Kuechly or Zeke Elliot stories to pass around. When a kid digs you, close him.
Look for yourself:
Finn Dirstine, Lawrence Academy, Offensive Guard

LB offer
Whoa, we backed off Ellis and Simmons but are still pursuing a LB? Elko must have some very specific things he's looking for.
I've heard he's anywhere from safety to a defensive end.
I think we need to start giving these new coaches some props. They started way late but are getting kids on campus and talking about Notre Dame. Cant wait for a full season of recruiting, This IMO changes the complexion for Notre Dame.
Welcome to IE Jordan. Enjoy your OV in South Bend and feel free to flip! BTW... You have very good written English but could you do your next post in Swedish just for kicks?

does anyone think the late net casted wasnt big enough?
Might be too big at safety. lol
At WR it wasn't because it didn't include this guy.

agree it that its different for each position.
Maybe its because they feel confident in a few, but we felt that way at some point earlier in year too.
Just seeing room for 8 in the class doesn't give me a lot of confidence we can fill all those spots.
We are sure to fill a few of them tho.
I'd get through this weekend and throw out more offers on Monday AM if needed.
I'd be prepping kids who I'm interested in to not sign on NSD. Remind them what Demetrius Robertson did last year. We have to remember that ND is talking to many more guys than are just offered. Follow the follows and you get an idea of how many recruits I'm talking about. Names like:
Brandon Sebastian
Bryce Watts
Javelin Guidry
Shawn Smith
There's new ones every day.
I am twitter illiterate, how can you tell who started following who, besides clicking on followers?
example...click on elko's following...they are in order of who he followed recently
I feel pretty comfortable saying that ND signs 3 DB's, 1 WR, and 1 DL. I think we could sign as many as 4 DB's and 2 DL, if those guys are willing to do so.
I saw Markese Stepp tweet at 2017 ATH Dean Sise of Washington. Watch this guys tape. He's an absolute animal. Would take in a heartbeat. A lot like Colin Schooler from Mission Viejo, CA Position? Football Player.

If somebody told me this kid was one of the top recruits in the nation, I would believe them. But that's me.
Notre Dame 2017 Football Visits
This weekends Visitors:
Jalen Harris - Commited to Arizona, CB is 100% Zona.
Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa - CB is 75% USC, 25% Vandy, Will also be visiting Vandy same weekend as ND. USC just added Pili (not sure if this impacts his recruitment there or not) May be hard to make a big enough impression late in cycle, and in 1 day?
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah - Committed to Virginia, CB is 80% ND
Hippenhammer canceld his visit, doubtful he is in class im assuming.
JGH, Norwood, and JOK appear to be heavily trending to ND.
NDinBoston noted in his thread, B&G said in their podcast Jafar Armstrong is in this weekend.
