For things to ever work, Brandon must go first. So if they fire Brandon now, they give Hoke one more year, right? That way they don't have to buy him out and they can conduct a decent search if they get a competent AD.

They wouldn't want to keep Hoke on as a lame duck. That'd set their recruiting back enough to really hamstring the new coach.

UM like ND and Bama is no place for HC OJT.

THIS! I've never liked promoting a coordinator to HC at a major school for his first HC job. It's usually a disaster - not always, but usually. HC at a major program is no place to learn to be a HC. Go learn your chops at a small school first, then come on up to the big leagues after you've learned the ropes and shown you can handle being a HC.

That's hard to look at for any extended period of time. I'm just sayin'. The fact that he went to same HS that my daughters go to (five minutes from my house) makes me believe that that I may run into him at some point.

If you don't remember it at this point, it didn't happen.

How could you forget this.....

Gary Andersen of Wisconsin would be a low risk pick for skunkbear ... Good fit, good football head...enough grey in his beard.

Not sure Michigan is a bigger job anymore...but he makes 2.2 mil...maybe offer 3.5.

Hoping for Kiffy Kins...can't ever get too much of that fun...ever.

Michigan's a much bigger job than Wisconsin. You can go to the Rose Bowl year after year at Wisconsin and no one really notices, or gives you the resources to do more. That's why Bielema left. If you go to the Rose Bowl at Michigan you're basically the second coming of Bo. Do it twice and you practically are Bo.
I think they'll expect a "better" coach than Andersen (just like we would). Whether they can get one is a different story.

He'll be in until the end of the year. MSU is going to take them to pound town.

The color guy certainly didn't think Hoke should be fired.
