A&M QB Signee Kohl Stewart just went 4th overall to the Twins in the MLB draft.

He won't be ahead of Allen, at least.

Kudos to NDWorld247 for calling that one.

Thank you, sir. I would also like to thank God, for without him none of this would be possible, my family who has supported me since day one, and, last but certainly not least, the internet for giving me the tools to dig up copious amounts of information on 16-18 year old boys that may one day play football for the University that I love and/or provide me with the tools to debate various topics with similarly minded Notre Dame fans worldwide.

"Coach Sumlin told me I will have a scholarship at whatever school he is coaching at next year"

found this to be pretty funny

Wow..... what? USC? Texas?

If I was an Aggie fan and I heard that I would be like "WTF!!!"... and this just shows how kids really commit to coaches (or bags of cash) more than anything these days. Which is strange because very rarely do players finish their career with the same coaches they started with.

I hope he goes to USC. He is as big a cheater as there is and they will suffer for it eventually.

Looks like someone may be getting ready to pull a Kiffin!

Sumlin doesn't have any West Coast ties. Doesn't make much sense to me why he would leave A&M for USCw. It isn't money... A&M has plenty of that. It isn't recruiting. Right now he is doing that very well. Guess I would be a little surprised if he took the job if offered.

A guy from work went OFF on the Golson working out with a coach thing last week, said it was the worst thing he'd ever heard of and proved CFb is not on the up and up bla bla bla... I mentioned this to him today and he didn't have a problem with it...

seriously, kid tries to better himself while out of the game for a year, apocalypse now...

coach basically states he unilaterally works around school admissions... eh.

CFB fans man.

Was more saying that it looks like he is getting ready to bring his recruits with him (like Kiffy did to Tennessee) no matter where he goes... not necessarily USC.

Why does he need West Coast ties? A program like USC will recruit itself when they are winning have ties elsewhere could and should strengthen recruiting from the USC norm.

Don't disagree. He doesn't need any ties but are we for sure Haden is even interested in him? Most of what I have read seems to indicate he is wanting the coach to have some sort of USC ties. I think going there would be a definite improvement for Sumlin as USC is an elite program and A&M is not yet. We shall see.

While college football fans are all about the last game, the coaches tend to think a little bigger picture. USC is a Top 5 job, Tex A&M is not. When Johnny Football graduates, Mack Brown moves on, and Auburn gets its act together, the Aggies should come back down to reality.

They will probably finish third again this year... in the SEC West. As far as I am concerned, A&M still hasn't arrived. And yes, USCw is an elite program. The Aggies are a fad program. With a lot of money however...

Combination worked out well for Oregon.

I saw Allen a few times in high school. Didn't think he was all that. Mark Andrews, his 6-6, Jeff Samardzija high school knock off on the other hand.... Very very good.

Good. If Allen was named the starter the SEC network would explode. ESPN wouldn't shut up about him during the All American game.

Mark Andrews was my favorite jumbo WR/flex TE (or whatever we are calling it) last cycle. OU's haul of Andrews, Todd, and Quick is impressive.

Word around town was he was VERY interested in ND but OU promised to keep him at WR if at all possible... and his family is from Oklahoma originally.

FWIW, I doubt he'll be able to keep enough wait off to remain a WR. He's a big kid.
