It wasn't a big deal that it was shut down, but the decision was a bit of a head scratcher tbh. I post or lurk on at least 3 other college football forums similar to IE, and they all have their own versions of the GC that are waaay more risque than what the GC ever was. We always kept it very classy. Hell, on the Shag they have a whole separate thread for nude ex-wifes and ex-gfs and a nude Tinder dating thread, no holds barred. At one point I think BuckeyePlanet and IE were both owned by the same person/people, but I don't think that's the case anymore. That site has always had the "Romper Room."

I had nothing to do with it! Assumed it was shut down for liability reasons. Can't comment on how other sites are run.

I'll be there screaming my ass off, but I feel way less confident with Max out. Even though he didn't have a great career, our other options absolutely terrify me. We NEED to put pressure on whichever of the 4 QBs is throwing the ball.

What is their "predictor"? Is it a model or something?


All of the people picking UT honestly have me throwing my hands up and just wanting the game to start. I really don't understand how any reasonable person, and certainly any prediction model, could pick them over us. This is a team that most likely will start a true freshman QB and center. A team that got beat down by us last year. A team one of the least talented olines in the Big12. Meanwhile, almost everyone has us winning 9-12 games. So one of those losses I'm supposed to believe comes from the hands of a team we let our foot off the gas on last season and still beat 38-3?

Give me a fuq'n break. We're gonna beat the brakes off these bitches.

Kind of where I'm at. I've been worried about their offense, our inexperience at safety, our QB platoon, their improved defense...

But all these people picking Texas, the Texas players tweeting about "dabbing on Notre Dame," etc. and I'm starting to think we beat the living hell out of them. Pretty much every time a Kelly team has been "disrespected" we have drastically over-performed the projection. Most recently, his semi-famous "you shitting me? they must not know we are" speech before the Georgia Tech game in response to being listed as the underdog. And in 2012 against Oklahoma, that team was ready to bust some freaking heads after being listed as two TD underdogs.

So... hopefully we channel some of that.

Just win this one and get the season off rolling downhill. Yeah, on paper it doesn't look like ND wouldn't be an overwhelming favorite....but those are the games that drive me nuts until it's over. Just win, baby.

I was on the road most of yesterday and it seemed like every sports show I turned to on the radio was picking Texas. I was yelling at the radio all day. I can't figure out why everyone thinks Texas has improved so much and we have gotten that much worse. Very frustrating.

Can't wait to hear these same guys on Monday after we bury Texas again.

The Texas board on 247 seems to be pretty confident about their offense and the ability to move the ball. Although, I think they're forgetting that they are playing a true freshman QB and an inexperienced o-line (3 of them coming off injuries) that is going up against ND's most experienced group on defense. I think this might be a game that the we can get pressure with just a 4 man front due to them starting so many young guys on the o-line; if the secondary consistently force incompletions, the d-line pressure could be consistent since the up-tempo part of their offense would be out of rhythm.

I am getting so nervous lol

I'm super nervous only because I'm convinced BVG will call a stupid gameplan and consistently put players in unsuccessful positions causing us to be in a deep hole early. I can just see Kelly looking at him and saying "we're going to do this sht again all year?" Can I get a prop bet on the over/under of Cole Luke pass interference penalties for not only game 1 but throughout the season? Game 1 has to be set at 5 at least and the season could be 20-25?

My greatest fear is that Texas shows a semi-legitimate version of Baylor's vertical passing attack in the first half, beating us deep a couple of times. Our defense is on their heals to start the second half, and this happens:

Aside from our freshman safety abandoning his deep responsibilities and giving up a long score, this is the greatest thing that worries me on the off-chance that Texas has actually mastered some of this Baylor-esque offense already... nickle-and-diming us underneath as BVG repeatedly calls for soft coverage against their vertical attack. The look of exasperation and body language from the Oklahoma corner is nightmare fuel.

Does anyone know what is the Stubhub deadline for tickets there? I think i am going the day of route on stubhub. Most stadiums stop 2 hours before the game but the Cubs for example is 6 hours before the game.
