The Linebacker, Muliigans, and Brothers are very popular and are practically across the street from campus. There are more bars as you get deeper into the downtown area like Fiddler's Hearth, CJ's Pub, Corby's Irish Pub, and McCormick's.

O'Rourke's wouldn't be a bad place to go to either for some lunch or dinner. I haven't been there but I have heard it is very good. You can see the stadium from O'Rourke's and that is where Brian Kelly has his radio show every Thursday evening

NCAAF Sooners still looking to overcome Irish - ESPN

NCAAF First road test looms large for Sooners - ESPN

College Football Gamecast - Oklahoma vs Notre Dame

ESPN Big 12 Blog:

Notre Dame 24, Oklahoma 21: The Sooners feel good about themselves after Blake Bell’s performance against Tulsa. But this isn’t Tulsa. And this game won’t be played in Norman. The Irish have looked lackluster so far this season, but they’ve played a difficult schedule featuring Michigan and Michigan State. The Sooners, meanwhile, have yet to play anybody. Notre Dame will win the battle in the trenches, force Bell into a couple of critical mistakes in his first start on the road and make the plays in the fourth quarter like it did last year in Norman. They will move to 10-1 all-time in the series while preventing the Big 12 from picking up its first Top 25 non-conference victory.

Omar’s pick: Blake Bell has a cool nickname; Tommy Rees does not. OU, 28-23

Can we stop bumping this thread with offensive offensiveness? This type of offensiveness should be kept in the "offensive thread."

IMO we should talk more about being offensive. I would like to see us hang 50 on the Sooners.

Currently in Niles, Mich. Will have tons of beer and food for anyone in the RV lot at Pendle and Jupiter. I'll be the one in the red shirt.

Unless BK has been playing a serious game of possum over the last 4 weeks, I don't have a great feelinng about this game.

OU looks improved defensively (TBD), tons of weapons offensively, and the ND O line is playing below expectations. If the OU defense can rush 4 and drop 7 in coverage, I don't see that boding well for ND.

If you around the main building at 2:30 tomorrow, make sure you go inside to see this. It is right after the band concert. It is one of the coolest game day traditions.

Be careful about serving minors. The Indiana Excise Police (Alcohol Enforcement) are strict.

I'd rather see your day spoiled on the gridiron than in a courtroom. Enjoy!

Was my favorite bar towards the end of my ND tenure. Every Wednesday you would find me there like clockwork.

Go to Fiddler's Hearth downtown. It's the most original of the bars in South Bend IMO. Not a rowdy place but just a great, friendly environment. A true pub. Irish breakfast and shepherd's pie are both real good. If you are in South Bend still on Sunday morning they have a nice brunch. Lots of good craft brews and whiskeys too.

I took ASU -7 at home. I think ASU is a better team than they showed last week @ Stanford and I read somewhere that USC has 56 scholarship players traveling to ASU this weekend. Given my betting record this season, you should expect to cash in this weekend.

We will see, i just have a gut feeling USC goes there and pulls off a decent win

Don't know if it has been said yet, but Iowa State put up similar numbers to Oklahoma against Tulsa. Just goes to show that some wins look good, and others don't. I believe we would stomp that Tulsa team as well, but it won't have an effect on the outcome of the game tomorrow.

Just pointing out that the Sooner's may not be indestructible
