667 posts and probably 200 of them talk about PIIHB

The government can shut down our restaurants, close our schools and universities, shut down all athletic events at all levels, shut down concerts and all gatherings. But as I stand here with God as my witness, I will be damned if they try to stop me or anyone else from P'ingIIHB.

As we sit at home during these uncertain times, let's take this day, the 17th of April to hold our significant others close, tell them how much you love them and care about them, and when the time is right,PIIHB.

Gents,
I truly appreciate the attempt to resurrect this thread, but if we're being honest with ourselves, we know it has run its course.

We will have to patiently wait for that perfect storm of a thread to come out of nowhere.

Conventional wisdom for a socially acceptable age gap is [(X/2) + 7], where X is your age. That's 22 in your case, so you'll likely get at least a little side-eye for dating this girl. But if you're good for each other, who cares?

An additional concern is dating a 20 year old may create awkward situations on nights out if you like to drink. One thing I absolutely hated about hating a 20 year old when I was only 24 was that our social scenes were very different. I'd get dragged to house parties where the majority of attendees were between 18-20 years old. Not exactly my scene by that point in my life.

Good luck to Brick. Get after it my man.

dont dip your pen in company ink

Major red flag. Given she's 20 and you're 30 all indications are this relationship won't last. Working together could become dicey at best meaning one of you will probably have to quit. But given she's 20, you'll likely get to PIIHB and then, who cares?!

My wife is about ten years younger than me. It works out. Just make sure she wants to have a family, if that's what you want. If not, age truly is just a number provided it's legal.

He's just trying to game and chase a filly. No need for drinks.

She's a unicorn at 20, but she'll likely be a centaur by 30...

But in all seriousness, 10-year gap at 20/30 is a WAY bigger deal than say 30/40.

LMAO Irish#1... this is was my exact scenario to my journey to marriage. We worked for the same company at different branches about 2 hours apart. About 6 months after our first date, I was transferred/promoted to Northern B.C. as the operations manager. By car, this was 17 hours away. The phone bill was outrageous and I drove down at least once a month. This was back in '91.

We were engaged in October of '91 and the Company president called me to say they would transfer her to my branch if that would help. I declined, trying to be the good Catholic boy.

We got married in '92 and i guess the first few days of marriage were "interesting". I was still 30 and she was turning 21 four days after our wedding. We flew to Maui to celebrate our honeymoon and she wasn't able to order a drink. And she looked very young. I realized then and there that people assumed I was a pervert!

Flash forward to 28 years later and we are still happily married with two great daughters. I would do it all over again but I did kind of get tired of hearing what my daughter wanted off the menu. To further exacerbate things, I went pretty grey in my thirties.

I have since found out that her parents were pretty concerned about our marriage and the age difference... particularly when I would drop her off at her parents house claiming I was "looking for a little warranty work".

The vice-president of our company called me shortly after my return from the honeymoon. The company was drafting a sexual harassment policy (largely because of our relationship) and they wanted my input. Mining town, 12-16 hour days, operations were running 24/7... fishing off the company pier was the only way to meet a girl!

My wife did quit her job about 6 months before the wedding.

Cheers and Go Irish!!
