Agreed, but I'm all for her getting throttled by the Twitter mob. It's insane, but you can't have it both ways. You can't prop yourself as superior to boorish masses based on some silly code that is disconnected from reality, and then demand special treatment from your irrational mob when you break the rules for a split second.
She's obviously not racist, but PCness has nothing to do with actual racism. It has everything to do with moral posturing. Pridefully identifying yourself as part of a superior, enlightened group.
It's like the riots in Milwaukee. I'm perfectly happy with someone saying that they have nothing to do with the BLM movement, and don't represent black people in general. I agree 100%--at least with the second part. But if that is the case, the same has to be applied to other groups. Not every ass-clown white guy who gets on TV represents the tea party, or Trump, or whatever it happens to be. You can't have it both ways.
Give me an example of how Ellen "propped herself up to the boorish masses"?
South Park episode, 'Pee' is on right now... The famous episode where Cartmans song about minorities and the ensuing struggle against them is a side story.... Except Comedy Central has basically blurred out every bit of speech from Cartman related to this story line... Smh.
If you're offended, don't watch the damned show
If you're CC and cave to complaints, then don't air the episode
Geez
Remember when networks began cutting out the "violent" scenes from Tom & Jerry, The Roadrunner, and The Three Stooges several years ago? Thankfully most of them stopped doing that, but it was ridiculous.

Message: I am not racist and neither are my children, who like a black athlete.
What the fuck does this even mean: "it filled me with more joy than I can ever explain to see them fall so hard for Biles."
Did you doubt that your six and four year old girls could like a person who wasn't white? That's the only way this sentence makes sense.
It’s unclear why Kaepernick sat. However, Kaepernick retweeted the following message on Thursday, which accompanied images of the American and Confederate flags: “The fact that you really believe that there is difference in these flags means that your [sic] ignoring history.”

Money quote from the article:
This made me go look at Kolin's twitter feed and it's absurd. The irony of this whole thing is that Kolin's birth mother is white, and after his black dad ran out on his teenage mom she gave him up for adoption... to two white parents that took him in and raised him very comfortably. And he has made millions of dollars as an athlete/entertainer in an industry that only exists in this country. So I'm confused why he hates America and white people so much when they afforded him so much in this life, and he's half white.

He is stupid dude. Last time i checked a lot of nationalities died defending this flag not just white people.

I think one of the biggest problems in society today is this growing notion that, if you support something, then you must support EVERYTHING about it. It's probably most clearly evidenced in how liberals portray Republicans (if you are a Republican, there's no doubt you must be a racist, sexist, greedy corporate whore) and in how conservatives portray those who support Planned Parenthood (if you support Planned Parenthood, you must be a baby killer who wants to get rich by selling body parts). It's really disappointing that we have become so intellectually lazy and weak, that we can't take the time to consider that people can support one aspect of a cause or an organization, while simultaneously disliking some other part of it.
This whole way of thinking forces people to be enemies. It encourages an all out "us vs. them" mentality. It's hard to shake that kind of thinking, because that kind of thinking is black and white, and is easier for us to process. We have so many other cognitive demands on us, that this line of reasoning eases our daily workload leaving more mental energy for us to focus on our kids, or our jobs, our spouses, or our hobbies. But it is destructive to our social structure, and ultimately to ourselves since we are such social creatures.
Yup, not to mention the fact that him equating the American flag to the Confederate flag is not only ignorant but an insane slap in the face to the hundreds of thousands of white Americans that died to abolish slavery.
Now my timeline is filled with people saying Kaep should be allowed to make any statement he wants because of free speech yada yada yada.
These are the same people that shame and silence those who disagree with them. It's sickening.

What are you guys complaining about, exactly? What you're describing is exactly how free speech is supposed to work. Kaepernick is allowed to make any statement he wants and we're all allowed to call him an ignorant ass clown who should shut up.Now my timeline is filled with people saying Kaep should be allowed to make any statement he wants because of free speech yada yada yada.

That's exactly how it's supposed to work. If I disagree with you, I say "I think you should shut up." It doesn't mean I'm trying to exercise State power to make you shut up.but yet not surprising
Basically, if you think similar to me, I support your use of free speech, if you think different from me I think you should shut up. This is where many people in America seem to be at now a days
