Another from Shea:
Shea Pattersons little brother just told me Cameron clocked their MPH. Franks threw the football 56 MPH and Shea thew it 52 MPH.

Also, there are some video clips on their thread, and it looks like Franks is actually considerably better than Patterson in the limited action they've posted.

More from the camp:

Both guys I know out there said Franks over Patterson. Said that they are about the same right now but Franks has better accuracy and way more upside. Hopefully we can land them both, but they said we need to keep Franks.

Per Loy he's visiting for the Michigan game. He doesn't think that he'll flip his commitment before that visit and we'll get a strong look. It's important to note that the only reason he committed to Arizona was because of his brother, hard to think he end up anywhere other than LSU now but stranger things have happened.

It's always possible that LSU likes Franks more and they pass on Patterson. Unlikely? Yup. Possible? Hypothetically.

I'm glad that he is still gonna give us a look. I figured he would have already flipped to LSU by now. You never know I suppose?

How many QB's is LSU taking? I thought he was going to Arizona because of his brother. Do we have something here with him visiting ND for the Michigan game?

I know we have a LONG ways to go but it is hard to get excited about recruiting a top QB

The LSU 247 guys are backtracking a little from their previous statements. Before the offer they were hinting in every way possible he'd be a Tiger sooner rather than later. Now they're saying he will evaluate his options and is not a LSU lock.

How much of a coup would that be to get a blue chip QB from Louisiana, with a LSU offer, with a brother who works at LSU, with no ties to ND, and is not Catholic?

We know he's not Catholic? His brother went to Catholic school his entire time in Toledo, to my knowledge.

Coach Cooks would be just one miracle short of sainthood if he could pull it off.

Those LSU 247 guys want to downplay their feeling that he is a lock so the fact that they hired his brother won't seem as contrived.

Texas and USC offered. Texas offer is a big one for him.

He's currently on a tour of the West Coast schools.

Shea was at yesterday's ND-Mich. game. Got to talk to his dad and shake Shea's hand. His dad mentioned ND is in his final 3.

Gave it a 10 and loved every minute of it. Mentioned that you have to look at depth charts but he will compete with anyone (re: Henry).

When asked about Tillery he said he thinks his parents want him closer to home but thinks he will end up at ND though he is, "tough to get a read on."

All around great visit, could see himself at a place like that. Will visit LSU and USC, Bama and Auburn. Seems to get excited when talking about LSU.

Making decision likely in spring. Sounds like a great kid based on that interview.
