Grass stadium? In heavy rain that might slow everyone down, but I like the team with the better running game in those conditions, which is us.

I'm torn on the rain. Part of me says any change to the elements benefits the weaker team (who's Clemson IMO), and another part of me thinks they're going to have to pass significantly more than us to win, and that hurt them.

Draw a line between strength and skill. Weather neutralizes skill, but allows strength to shine. Clemson might be the more skilled team.

We're favored in both line-of-scrimmage battles. If we lose, it'll be due to the inability of our secondary to cover Clemson's WRs. Heavy rain neutralizes their advantage and bolsters ours.

Not me so much. Its been raining nonstop here the last two days and will continue but it has not been lightning or thundering so I doubt there will be delays of the game from that.

Just slightly. It looks like the hurricane is not going to be much of a factor. The bad weather is all coming from the front through the gulf and it's simply a lot of rain. I'm thinking it will be a go.

The Michigan/Maryland game change is more because of the hurricane.

If that hurricane's path changes, then there could be issues.

thanks guys...i haven't really paid any attention to it but when i saw them changing the game...and heard they have now moved it up to some other high category 4 hurricane i was beginning to think my saturday w/ no kids and wife along w/ me drunk screaming we beat clemson was out the door

Unless something drastic happens with the path of the hurricane it should continue up past NC outer banks. We are getting a ton of rain right now but it is just nonstop rain bands. No storms.

I honestly think our DL will blow up a lot of plays against their OL, so might not matter either way.

Part of that is a function of delivery. But I am glad I didn't get tickets, not so interested in sitting through half a foot of rain in person. It should be glorious on TV though.

See the article I linked just a few minutes ago. Murtaugh claims that Zaire was the only QB we've ever had under Kelly who actually did read the defense on our option plays. Thus far with Kizer, it looks like we've gone back to pretending to read on plays that are just designed RB gives.

i will NOT watch an ND game in a bar or anywhere else except in my house on my couch or live in person....i am selective of who can even come over during the game...several of my ND buddies are not allowed to come over as they want to talk...i want to watch and study the game...i can only focus on drinking and the game...not drinking,game, and someone yapping the whole time..

Honestly, that game should have never been an 8pm kickoff anyway, definitely more of a nooner.

My favorite place is actually at a friend's house who despises ND. Despite his anti-ND sentiment, he knows that I need to focus on just the beer and the game, so he'll build a firepit out back, turn on his outside patio TV, and let me watch the game in peace at the outside bar (minus the occasional comment about the game here and there). After the game, we will drink many more beers and turn it into an actual football viewing party.

Why wait? If it was in the morning I could just sleep through the damn thing like it never happened, and maybe I wake up to a Wolverine loss. Unlikely, but that would be a great way to start a Saturday.
