Don't curse the poor boy. As good as Dexter is, look how long it's taken him to shake the Bod Squad curse.
I meant Jafar but point still stands, let’s not jinx the kid

I said I wouldn’t but....... that was good defense except for Troy Pride was absolutely terrible. Didn’t even seem like he wanted to play. Actually happened more than one would like last night. Something needs to happen there.
Not much of a shock but OL was good in the run game. A lot of movement up front. Playing against undersized guys probably helped but still good to see.

I haven’t re-watched but were Pride’s miscues only in the 2nd half or did he struggle the entire game? I’m wondering if they didn’t come out w/ a 4 TD lead in the 2H and feel like they could put it on cruise control and avoid injuries...esp after seeing their captain go down to what appeared to be a serious injury in real time.

Is Navy a team that ND should beat every season? Yes
Should ND continue scheduling Navy every season if the goal is CFP? No, not IMO.
possibly... I wasn't able to watch the entire game but during the second half any time I'd sit down we seemed very slow (both in terms of reaction time and literal speed) and just not all there...
Missed most all the game because of a Halloween party, haven't been able to find replay online, if anyone can let me know.
After the first attempted missed tackle by Pride, not even sure if I can call it an attempt of a tackle it was more of a flailing push that missed everything, the coaches should have benched him for the remainder of the game and input Vaughn or Bracy. It was the worst attempt of a tackle i have ever seen from a Notre dame player. And that is saying a lot considering an injured Farley fell on his ass and tried a seated tackle once and Jalen Eliot has had a few really bad whiffs. But Troy Pride was the worst, it wasn't even an attempt at a tackle.
How long did it take you to figure out you needed to stand all the time?
Get your priorities straight or you go on probation.
Comments are spot on. I was at the game and had a clear view of the flailed attempt. Don't know if he was off balance but PKs and punter do a way better job of tackling or trying to tackle. That number 10 was badass and would do great things for ND. Maybe he can transfer next. Would have liked to see if ND could run one jet sweep with Avery just to test the boundary. The end around was a nice wrinkle but would like to see Austin get the ball as he looks faster than Jafar. Austen is the future #1 WR<
These night games are killing me Navy should have been 11am cst start, Northwester should be 2:30pm
nope, 5pm game time was alright for SD. could have used a 6 or 7 pm start time to get more tailgating in

Book did some really nice things. His first down throw to Claypool from the far hash was a great read. Didn’t have it left, immediately went to the next read, rolled out and first down. Impressive arm strength on that pass.
Jafar gets upfield in a hurry. Because of injury I’m not sure he’s getting the attention he deserves. He’s good.
BTW.....IT's Third Down!!!!!
Rewatching now (just got done with 1H).
Only criticism from me to this point is the offensive play calling is a bit predictable. With that said, score here and get the starters out.
Where are you watching it? Is it on youtube?
TEs - I saw where someone was calling for more passes to Kemet, and less to Mack. I'd actually like to see Mack get some of the play calls or routes that Kemet is getting (like the one in the late 2Q). Both are catching just about everything thrown to them, but it seems like Mack is getting tossed to more in traffic.
Is the above a product of Kmet doing a better job of getting open, or maybe it's strictly a personnel/packaging issue? Maybe the defense is more focused on Alize when he's in over Kmet because they think he'll do more damage after the catch?
All I know is that I hate the pass to the TE in the flat. The TE (usually Mack) always gets chopped down immediately and it's a one yard gain max.
