Glad to see things trending in a positive manner. Might be a little rusty against FSU for a quarter or so, but at or near full strength. Of course everyone is hoping Rees dials up a go route for Austin on the first play! lol

Nice to get some good "non-fake" news. Need these two going forward.

Awesome news. I thought the odds were slim to none that we would be taking the field against FSU next week but I'm glad we appear to be on track to play.

Will be interested to see who we have available.

Mike Frank and co on ISD podcast kept going on about how "very important players" were affected by covid this past week which leads me to believe its Book or the OL.

Funny you immediately went there instead of Doerer or the LS...

i'm trying to imagine who could fit the phrase "you couldn't play without them" and, valuable as Hamilton and JOK, for instance, are, I can't get past Book and more than one starting OLine. Tremble plus Mayer would be rough. Williams and Tyree would be rough. White and Bauer would be rough. etc.

My first thought was Book and Clark, that would be a huge blow to the QB room, going with either Pyne or perhaps Avery Davis.

Thought not ideal, I think it would be a little dramatic to say we couldn't go out with Clark and beat FSU. Curious to see the report next week. I'm thinking it's the OLine as well.....

You would figure that's the single most vulnerable position group for intragroup spread given how much time they spend in close proximity.

In Brandon's defense, that was ND's best offensive game of the entire season per S/P+.
Which is silly. I guess the advanced models can't take into account a team that visibly gives up after the first drive.

Welp Jacksonville state is handling Florida state right now. FSU offensive line is terrible, ND should roll next Saturday

I just thought of another "group" that the staff would say "you couldn't play without them" --- the kickers.

I wouldn't be surprised if several guys on the team have punting/kicking experience from lower levels of football. You'd have to play the game a bit differently but I think it'd be just fine.

ND opens as 21 point favorites. Feels about right with a two week layoff and some players missing.

Edit: apologies to Eville didn’t see his post

You've got to do something to stir the pot. Their O will probably coming out hyped and focused for one drive until reality smacks them in the kisser.

No Kiser.
Am I the only one who wasn't expecting to see Kiser on the two deep? He was third string for a reason. The other two are healthy again. I'd be willing to bet the other two would have had big stats with USF scheme/talent level also.
