Maybe the other teams will call in sick the next two weeks for us to somehow pull out an upset. I don't see how we can win these next two based on how our last two have gone.

These next 2 weeks will be among the lowest point in Notre Dame history. Petrino wants his pound of flesh glory and southern cal -well just say they will have no mercy. Next year cant get here soon enough, but the problem is how is this going to affect them next year and who will be on the team. This hurts, just imagine if you were a player, they better suck it up and play hard or these next 2 teams are going to embarrass them.

...isn't ND favored against Louisville?

It's an above average ACC team, not the Green Bay Packers.

Not to mention this game has absolutely no pressure in the grand scheme of things. Playoffs gone, "BCS" level bowl gone, time to let it fly. I really think they will look relaxed and win this game, maybe even comfortably.

What does that even look like?

Curious why so many are so convinced Louisville will win big here. They've got a true freshman QB who's played like three games, and they didn't have some world-beating offense before their starter got hurt. They've got a good D but we're probably the second best offense they play this year (after FSU). We match up well. And, as others have said, we've got nothing to lose but the chip on our shoulder after last week.
If we clean up the turnovers, we win this one, maybe by multiple scores.

Bobby Petrino is why. He will own Kelly all day imo, no matter who is playing QB. Also, Bobby sees the chum in the water and will go for blood.

I just have a hard time believing that Kelly sh*ts the bed two weeks in a row. And as highly as you all think of Petrino, Kelly is capable of putting a gameplan together with the best of them. He's not going to roll over and play the submissive to Petrino's master plan to KILL NOTRE DAME !!!!!111!!

What Kelly did to scUM early in the year, as well as FSU, was the work of an offensive guru. Even with scUM being as bad as they were at the time, the gameplan and its execution were nearly flawless. We just need more consistency from our head coach, just like we need more consistency from the players.

Kelly isn't going to let Petrino walk all over him. If Louisville wins big, it will be because their defense forces turnovers (which they're very good at) and because Parker has a field day against the secondary (which could happen, regardless of scheme/coaches/etc.).

Gotta go with the Irish here. Their pride as a team has been questioned all week. If ever there was a time to rise up and give maximum effort, this is it.

anyone going to be at the game. Me and a good friend bought tickets last week and we are taking my two and his two boys up for the game. Lucked up and get 6 seats together. This will be our sons first experience at ND.

34-31 ND. Brindza makes the game winning field goal. Golson mostly tames his turnovers (1 INT and puts the ball on the ground once but we recover it).

ND Friday Night Parking - 4 Sporting Events Scheduled

ND Friday Night Parking - 4 Sporting Events Scheduled

With no fewer than four athletics events scheduled for the University of Notre Dame campus on Friday evening, the University's departments of athletics and parking services have designed a comprehensive parking plan to handle the increased number of fans attending these various contests.

Following the Notre Dame football luncheon (noon ET in the Joyce Center Fieldhouse/north dome), the third-ranked Fighting Irish women's basketball team will be the first team in action, playing host to Chattanooga at 5 p.m. (ET) at Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center. The traditional football pep rally will begin at 5:45 p.m. (ET) inside the Joyce Center Fieldhouse/north dome. The Notre Dame hockey team will be in action against UMass Lowell at 7:35 p.m. (ET) at the Compton Family Ice Arena. The Irish volleyball takes to the Purcell Pavilion court for an 8:00 p.m. (ET) contest against North Carolina.

In light of another busy schedule this Friday evening, Notre Dame advises fans of the following guidelines related to athletics event parking near the south edge of the University campus:

I won't hazard a guess at who is going to win or lose this game, but I know one thing - Louisville is not accustomed to the weather they're going to encounter in South Bend. That's at least one advantage that should go to the Irish.

Meh. I used to think that, too; but I just haven't seen that as a big issue when visiting teams have come to South Bend. Maybe it's b/c those teams are rarely a true Southern or West Coast team. I'm not that hopeful w/ Golson having to throw the ball in the rain. Remember the Stanford game? Zaire better have pine tar on those gloves after his performance & what happened to Smith in the rain. I still don't like Zaire as the holder but as long as he's ready to run the offense if EG goes down is the main thing.

I'm not putting any hope to Bonnafon being a true freshman either. This will be the kid's 4th start. He led all rushers w/ 76 yds in the win over BC. When I read that, I immediately flashed back to Marquise Williams carving up our defense back in Oct...and that was w/ Schmidt & Day in the lineup.

South Bend might be a bit colder on average and have lake-effect snow, but we don't get a respite from midwest winters in Kentucky just because people consider it the "south." 40 degrees and rainy isn't going to bother Louisville, but I don't think 15 degrees and snowy would bother them much either.

I am confused does this mean the holder actually puts Brindza in position to make a field goal. Seems like a pipe dream.

I'm interested to see what Rochelle can do as a DT. He has some great football abilities but I'm not sure his ideal position is at defensive end.

Have there been any statements illuminating the situation with Redfield? Do we know if he's starting on Saturday?

So if the Irish can win comfortably against L'Ville (let's say 10-14 pts) what's the best ND can hope for rankings wise? Based on the top 25 lineup this week, it doesn't look like the Irish would place much higher than 23-25.

I'm surprised at how many people think he was high or whatever. He was obviously doing that on purpose / trolling them.

Still love looking at it...makes me laugh every time. Herbie sneaks peeks at him and tries to keep it together. LOL

Takin the red-shirt off Jay Hayes for this game. Minimum 30 reps, per BK Thursday evening PC. Shit, shit, shit.

He did add this tho':

I actually like this. We need the help up front. It gets him some good game time and shows that he is still going for the win.
