I feel better about this game than I did last week with Charlie and Teddy around.

Looking forward to this game the most

I think they will experience the same thing that TCU, WVU and Utah has. Which is, playing tougher teams week in and week out will prove much more difficult than planned. While I know the ACC is not the Big 12 and Pac 12, it still is a HUGE leap from the old Big East / AAC.

I think they will struggle to win 8 the next few years.

Posted the article in the transfer thread, but they had 3 underlcassmen on the O-Line transfer out which could have them very thin by the time this game rolls around.

I'd completely forgotten he was there. He was a bad man coming out of HS.

And then continued to be a bad man once out of high school. He was pretty good at football too.

Still amazes me that Louisville waded back into these waters.

@BruceFeldmanCFB: #Louisville WR DeVante Parker, a Freak at 6-3, 208 w 4.39 40 & 10-10 BJ, injured his foot today/out indefinitely. #UofL has #Miami in WK 1.

Louisville's DeVante Parker suffers foot injury, out indefinitely - CBSSports.com

Louisville may have taken a serious blow on Friday night, as the school announced that wide receiver DeVante Parker suffered a foot injury in practice and is out indefinitely. Parker is heading to Charlotte to have his foot looked at by Dr. Bob Anderson.

Same Dr. Jeter saw.

Parker had 12TDs on 55 catches for 885 last year.

He's a good player. That will be a big loss for them and unlike ND with DD doubt they have the depth to replace him.

Devante is an impact player but they have plenty of talent to get the ball to in the pass game. Guys that have proven they can play Div-I football.

Eli Rogers senior-WR has 131 career receptions, Michaelee Harris senior-WR 52 career receptions, Gerald Christian senior-TE 32 career receptions, and a very talent but young James Quick at WR.

A talented group without Parker. The real question IMO is how does Gardner play. Petrino has proven his teams can put points on the board but Gardner is going to have to prove himself in replacing a very talent Teddy Bridgewater.

Thanks for the info. I know nothing about Louisville football, have been to Papa John Stadium before though...only to park for the derby. You're correct, great receivers arent worth a shit if they can't get the ball.

That Parker injury is great for ND as he is a real player but it will destroy my fantasy team

I'll be at this game, along with one of my best friends and his family. They are Louisville alumni/fans, but they are also ND fans, so it'll be a unique experience for them.

If anyone has the good word on getting parking passes for the stadium lot, let me know!

Yea, this game wont be a walk in the park I bet. Petrino might be a scumbag but I'd put him near the top of the list as far as pure coaching goes.

Hard to judge Louisville as it appears Miami is pretty bad. The Cane O Line was horrible.

The new QB for the Cards looks like he can turn in to a pretty good one but it's gonna take him a little time. Hurts not having his top receiver, but he still made a few impressive throws. He will be better by the time ND comes calling. The Card defense? Hard to say right now. Miami, with a true freshman QB, and no O line didn't give us much to look at. In the end, I expect Petrino will have his offense working well and have an average defense at best. The Irish game is a long ways off and a lot of football till then. Guess we gonna have to see how each team improves week to week before any predictions on the game can be objectively made.

Good call.

Right now, I'd only add fuck Michigan.
