Every team has their big and small games that are on different ends of the spectrum. Alabama isn't the same when they play Vanderbilt as when they play LSU.

I was at Michigan, Stanford, and NW this year. Michigan was absolutely rocking and I'd put it against almost any atmosphere in the country. Stanford was also awesome, but the awful weather/day time game kept it from getting to UM's level. NW was a choir concert.

Want a big atmosphere, go to a big game. Not a one size fits all.

i actually engaged the author on reddit and he said he had a great time, just that it was so alien to him. When Brindza missed the FG a ND actually shook the author's hand as he left the stadium :)

Wow. This dude has f*cked up every step of the way. I was expecting a lot more from him. He seemed like he had his head on straight, and especially hearing about his dad, it made it really easy to root for him. Totally misjudged his character.

There are some dudes that struggle in the classroom...character aside.

He was ruled academically ineligible...he didn't assault anyone or get caught w/ weed or get caught w/ a firearm. If he's kept his nose clean, he'll get a shot at the NFL

Yeah, but this is only the tip of the iceberg. He has a laundry list of off-field issues, that don't involve academics. The dude screwed up at Auburn, left for Ark State, and screwed up there. And just when you thought he was going to get things right, nope. I really shouldn't be surprised, considering his upbringing, but I keep remembering how big a deal they made of it back before the NCG in 2010, and this just disappoints me.

Almost certain he'll get drafted, but if I were a GM, I'd be steering clear. It's one thing if he kept his nose clean after screwing up majorly once, but this guy screwed up multiple times at Auburn, screwed up majorly at ASU, and now is shown to be academically irresponsible. Dyer has stayed out of trouble while at Louisville, but this sure as Hell doesn't help his case. Not to mention, losing the chance at playing in a bowl game.

He does have a laundry list of issues, but being academically ineligible is not a crime against humanity. He had a shot at a free college degree and chose to not apply himself. I think his uncle tried to step in as a father figure. He was a former college RB at Central Arkansas and is now a Little Rock cop. The kid went to a private school where he was the BMOC..then it was off to Auburn where he broke Bo's frosh rushing record & was named MVP of the BCS champ game. Then he got caught.

After being booted from Auburn and then Arkansas State, he landed at Arkansas Baptist with the help of Dr. Fitz Hill the President of the college. Coach Hill was a former assistant at Arkansas & a HC at San Jose State. Hopefully, Dr. Hill's influence made enough of an impact to keep him on the straight & narrow. That only goes so far, though. Dyer needs to have made a true change w/in himself. Time will tell.
