Can someone please telll me how does the Jemele hill still keep her job she is trash!

I have always wondered this myself, how does she still have a job but they are letting go of some solid contributors within their company.

I wonder why they cant just let the live stream of local network channels from Chicago (or any other city) be streamed nationwide..?

I don't care about news or anything else on local network channels really. Just want them for sports (like many other people) which air at the same time no matter where the stream would be coming from. I'd sign up right now if that were the case.

Those rules are set by the leagues.

The Hulu thing seems like a better deal than Sling on the surface, but the lack of Viacom channels and the fine-print on the local networks kind of kills it.

Sling still has a bit more value in terms of a la carte, I think, especially with their cloud DVR up and running.

ESPN 2 is showing the FIFA world championships right now... meaning the video game... smh.

Also if these are the worlds best players then you have my answer as to why I don't online game,... I watched a few minutes and these guys are masters at completely ruining a realistic sports sim.

How to fix ESPN and make it great again:

1. ALL political correctness, political commentary, social engineering, and agenda pushing are eliminated. Sports only.

2. At the top of every hour a random stray dog or homeless person from the streets of Bristol will urinate on Stephen A.

3. Prim Siripipat will be the only on-air person. Just her reading the scores, reruns of her reading the scores, or highlight clips of Stephen A's hourly hosings.

I play online a bit. It's pretty frustrating at times. These guys are much better at dribbling than i am, but low energy at playing the game the right way...i thought i played "heavy metal football!" These guys are tools.

...Happens over and over out there. Big dog is bitten by a combination of their own attitude along with cultural and technological change.

I grew up watching ESPN...from the days of incessant re-runs of Rugby, to the days of Sports Center broadcasts that were just what we wanted. They, like other big boys who stumbled, will find their footing in the new world...and their new found humble attitude will produce the next Sports Center concept.

Too Much Money...too much talent...too much pull to go away quietly.

does anyone else NOT use the espn app to check scores of games?

I use score mobile, I find its the best app to get the info i need quickly and efficiently, with minimal ads and bs.

the espn app nothing but videos, ads, and just poorly set up, not intuitive, and the espn website is just as bad maybe worse.

I don't like the app either, but I use the mobile site quite a bit. If you have your favorite teams saved, everything is right there.

I think the ESPN app is nice.

It just has the potential to kill your data plan if you don't turn off the auto-play function, and then end up getting sucked into highlights or live footage without being on wifi.

Clay Travis-How ESPN gave up sports for far left wing politics(February 8)

Clay Travis also nailed this a long time ago and is my new favorite guy in all of talk radio. Smart (lawyer), funny, straight shooter, worked on Al Gore's pres campaign, voted for Obama twice, but won't hesitate to call out the lunacy and bullshit on both sides.

I left work yesterday and sports radio was on in the car, I just about exclusively listen to 570am KLAC for sports talk radio; so I'm listening along and they are talking about Aaron Hernandez getting his murder conviction wiped from the books, and the radio personality was going thru the story and mentioning how he was never going to mention any murders with relation to Aaron Hernandez because of the court ruling.

I thought, who is this leftist prick on the radio?

turns out it was Max and Marcellus, and I was listening to ESPN radio 710....go figure

Interesting, I've actually watched the whole thing. I thought it was generally considered that Clay Travis is a douche? I never really listened to him much before, but that video makes sense. At some subconscious level I'm sure I already knew the message, but I never really thought about it. When you really break it down, liberal thought has crept into so much of our media it's becoming the norm. Conservative opinions get attacked just because they're conservative, and even if they're perfectly acceptable they get thrown back by liberals as racist, homophobic, sexist, etc. It's become the rallying cry...don't like what someone says? Just call them an a word ending in "ist", even if they're not.

Clay is one sharp cookie. And he is no Republican. Worked on Al Gore's campaign and voted for Obama twice. But if you have half a brain you can see why Clay refers to it as MSESPN. They tried to make Michael Sam = Jackie Robinson, Kaepernick = Malxomc X, and gave Caitlin Jenner the hero award because of a sex change. And...cord cutting.
