Pace isn't a dummy. This could all blow up in his face, but c'mon. Nobody is going to admit that they actually bid for that #2 other than the one who pulled the trigger. Why would they? There's no point to.

All in all, it's a headscratcher, but I'm okay with the draft overall. Guys still need to be developed and that's the next step.

Jackson broke his leg, which sucks, but given there are no complications, it's easily recoverable.

At least the Bears finally had the ballsacks to draft a QB in the first round. It's only been a decade and a half since that happened.

Going to break a rule and read Deadspin because this article links to a lot of other great articles and shines a ton of light on just how insanely bad the Bears move was.

deadspin-quote-carrot-aligned-w-bgr-2

This is a shocking first hand account of how it went down. My god Pace is a dumbass. He is such a dumbass, that it seemingly through the 49er war room into a spin trying to understand how much of a dumbass he was.

Completely embarrassing.

Article(s) made me want to bury my head in the sand. Honestly, how can I continue to be a fan with that jackwad as GM? This is madness.

When he caught a TD in Week 1, I thought Cruz was really back. It turns out, I was wrong :(

Throwing a ball through a stationary tire swing could come in handy when Cruz gets injured again and can't run

Keep an eye out for this headline in the near future:

Two AFC scouts fired today for drinking and drugging on the job.

Two words:

1. Andrew

2. Luck

No shit. Luck was probably one of the highest graded QBS ever.

I'm not a big fantasy guy, but if you are, I'm hoping you don't take fantasy advice from this guy.

I mean, the instant I saw Jordan Howard on there and the logic he used, I just could not think up words to describe how ungodly stupid that was.

Howard's production will drop off because the passing game is expected to suck makes absolutely no sense. I don't know what world you live in that Mike Glennon is a worse alternative to Hoyer and Barkley. As for Jeffery, oh you mean Alshon "I'll barely play this season because I have an owie" Jeffery? Just awful.

Sophomore slump is always a concern, but is overrated IMO. I'd gladly take my chances on JH if the spot is right. He shouldn't be on the the board after 2 rounds in any draft worth its salt.

Jordan Howard is really the only thing the Bears have going for them right now. I definitely wouldn't put Howard in the "do not draft list"; I say this because Mike Glennon and the passing game has the potential to be hot garbage and he won't be splitting reps with anyone. Getting a running back in fantasy football that splits reps is the worst (this is why I never draft Patriots running backs).

Depending on the amount of guys you have in your league and how your scoring system works, Howard should go off the board around rounds 2-3.

ESPN has Howard ranked the #7 RB and #15 overall. If you're in a league like I am where there is a HUGE run on running backs in the first round, he might sneak into the first round.
