Anyways, I have stayed away from posting in any of the political threads. I read them from time to time but try not to take the psots too seriously.

Pretty sure that's not BB... he's quite a bit younger than me as I understand it and still in his 20s.

I remember you saying before that BB was still pretty young. Young being 25-ish or so. Anyways, hope he makes it back and decides that it's ok to disagree... respectfully.

It probably isn't, but I did just a basic Google search of the last Akron election and that Nick Komives was the only new person within Buster's age bracket that seemed to fit the bill. Maybe he's from a suburb of Toledo though, or maybe he won a smaller position than City Council Chair, I dunno. It was completely a shot in the dark. That dude's hair was on point though, whoever he is!

I seriously ticked him off in the Trump thread and he lost his cool. Followed me to another thread or two ranting and cursing, and a few PM's to me and a couple others that were profanity-laced. I exchanged a few PM's with him trying to get him to chill before he got banned, but I think he'd made up his mind to ride that train all the way to the end. He even admitted he deserved to get banned and knew it was coming. I like Cack and think he's a good guy, though I disagree with his political views and ways of making them known. I think he just had a bad day and snapped. Looking forward to seeing him back in a week.

I still have no idea where this mindset comes from. If someone could explain an actual legal way this could happen I'd love to hear it. You can't slap an exclusive right on information. You can't stop a customer of yours from discussing information outside your teeny tiny consumer base. You can't get an injunction on speech because first amendment. You can't show damages. They can't do a damn thing.

I'll take this opportunity to bring up reddit.com/r/irishenvy. Post anything you want there. Those "journalist" hacks can't do shit.

Legal justifications aside (and they are enough for me BTW) ...

People providing pay site content go to some trouble to source/gather information ...ya know some form of real journalism. If all we do is try and honor that, and allow them to get the fleeting benefit doing the work might get them...I think it is worth protecting. Its a common decency thing too.
