on 12-10-2011 i received a 1 pt infraction for calling another poster a DB. so, by that mods standards, no it isnt ok.

Kinda surprised someone who has been on this site before Beau graduated high school got perma-banned, but sounds like Kmoose has been ruffling feathers for quite some time.

Odd way to go out.

My goal is to try and lead the forum in infractions without a ban. Currently at 4 in the last year or so.

I liked The Moose post game. I often agreed with his perspective. He at least captured the right story lines IMHO, and he seemed to know some football.

Based upon comments here, one would think Moose was the only flame thrower out there who could generate some irritation in those who opposed his view...there are a good bunch who know how to go from discussion to personal attack real damned fast...and think prefaces like "no offense but you are..." are a conversational prophylactic.

I wish he'd not have attacked a Mod. Tough deal there...I get Mods not taking that stuff...that job must feel like a curse. Appreciate everyone who does it.

I disagree with banning kmoose and woolybug. I certainly do not think that a permanent ban is justified.

Which rule did kmoose violate? I have not seen this ghastly video and have no desire to do so; however, I doubt that it could be described as "obscene" within the meaning of rule #2 here, assuming that rule follows the normal legal definition of obscenity, which does not typically include depictions or recordings of acts of violence. The context (it is included with "pornographic") also suggests that interpretation.

Now now....I know you long for the days of Bernie Kosar and co. I know you are still a little chapped over the Ravens, then their Super Bowl....and their rivalry with the Steelers...so gahead pick on the Steelers fans...I mean it must seem like there are bandwagon fans when you have that many rings, and expectations are always that high...anyway, bagging on the fans of the classiest, most stable, and reasonably successful modern sports franchise is cathartic I suppose....

I didn't have a problem with Moose...whenever we got into it, he was mainly passionate about his view, never demeaning...usually tried to be a pretty fact-based dude. I can recall him correcting me when we were arguing on the same side of a topic...made me take note of his integrity anyway.

But ya cants be flamin mods...so indeed...it is what it is.

He didn't rattle me, but I disagreed with him on a lot of stuff, and I considered myself a conservative until Trump became the leader of the conservative party. Then kmoose went on and on about how he didn't like Trump, but defended him vociferously on pretty much everything he did, and got in plenty of arguments.

He didn't seem to get into it too often with anyone outside of Political threads (The bane of many a poster). However, the "fuck you" to the mods was uncalled for and over the line. I get what you are saying but I think that context matters.

If BB and I were disagreeing about a football play and I said something like "You don't know your head from your ass" then I might expect a warning or a "Hey, that isn't appropriate" but when a MOD is contacts you in a PM about something that you posted was not appropriate (actually acting as a MOD and not a regular poster) and you say "Fuck you" to the MOD, well you get what you deserve.

I remember Kmoose and Whiskeyjack getting into it after a game. I believe that it was the ND/FSU, screwed by the refs on the pick call, game. I don't remember if he got a temp ban or not.

Not to be a total Koon (My apologies. Please understand that it's situational and not at all personal), but I believe that the correct construction term of art is "load bearing" wall.

Unless you are ensured that you are insured against gaffes of that sort, I'd give your (not you're or yore) "piece of The Rock" agent a call.

I never had a problem with kmoose, but I know he irritated some folks. Definitely shouldn't have said what he did to the mod (that's a tough job and my hat's off to all of them). I understand why he was perma-banned, but it borders on being too harsh. Just my two cents worth. He brings a lot to the board and was never like NJNP or a few others who just consistently and intentionally tried to disrupt and cause trouble. I hope that maybe there's a way for him to come back at some point.

Kmoose definitely earned his perma-ban, and it goes beyond what happened yesterday and beyond what everyone saw within in the threads.

Nothing. That's why mods make the big bucks. We cross-analyze posting patterns and behavior to match tone-of-writing samples that exist within our database, and then compile a bank of suspected gate-crashers so that we can engage in months-long sting operations within the confines of the board.

Jk. Most long-time users that come back after a ban are recognized pretty quickly when they try to register.

I'm not in the mood to debate with you why I disagree with you that we should reject equality and/or discrimination on the premise of minorities and women being genetically inferior to white upper class males. Instead I'll just tell you that you are a racist asshole and no one likes you.
