Not sure I could care less about any of these characters. Might feel differently if Rian Johnson hadn't butchered TLJ, but I guess we'll never know.

Yep,... couldnt give a shit. They might as well be sub par marvel characters now

I could not give 2 shits about ROS... TLJ is a cinematic abortion... they completely killed the series. There is no conceivable way, in my mind, that they could possible retcon TLJ and save this dumpster fire.

SOLO was a great movie. I loved it. I regret, letting TLJ make me so mad, that I refused to see SOLO in theatre. I wish I would have watched SOLO in the theatre. I think SOLO bombing was a combination of TLJ sucking ass, bad press, and then it came out only a couple months after TLJ and the media shit storm that followed.

This type of scenario happens all the time with video games. Take assassins creed for example. AC Unity came out in 2014, had a lot of terrible launch performance bugs, plus the story was very meh. The following year, AC syndicate came out, and completely bombed. It was the far superior game, but Unity out sold it. Syndicate took the brunt of the damage Unity inflicted.

*whispers* There hasn't been a great Star Wars movie since 1980. There are two excellent movies and the rest of the entire franchise is either mediocre or bad. Star Wars struggles in film because the cardboard cutout nature of the universe seems stupid the more you serialize it. The OT works because its a simple retelling of a mythical story, but even the OT stumbled across the finish line. Star Wars is a better universe for books but no one is ready to hear that.

What is up with the "horse" charge in the trailer.... that doesn't belong

Probably a call-back to the Ewoks from RotJ... everyone needs to join the resistance, including native life and nature.

Especially when there is only like ten people left in the entire resistance by the end of TLJ and every one of those were too stupid to even realize as they were last shown congratulating each other and partying over it all....

Rogue One was a butt movie with a visually spectacular third act.

We've already established that you have truly awful opinions on Star Wars movies and I'm not interested in getting into another back-and-forth.

Rogue One was spectacular in parts (hello, partial firing of the Death Star), but also spectacularly slow in parts (everything prior to the partial firing of the Death Star).

It DOES have the best climax of any Star Wars film, period.

The plans finally stolen, being handed off from airlock-to-airlock, and then a fantasy film goes straight HORROR FILM for 35 seconds, and it is the best 35 seconds in the Star Wars universe.

Vader in all his brutal glory, as I've always wished to see him on the big screen.

I would pay all of they money to see a 2.5 hour film of Vader doing Vader things.

Rogue One is the best Star Wars movie since TESB. Hands down.

It took a critical part that was missing between ROTS and TLH and wove otherwise unknown characters seamlessly into the story. Every other Star Wars movie has had established characters to insert into the plot (and butchered it) to make the story flow. Rogue One had to make a stupid sounding error on the Empire's part sound plausible without relying on Han Solo, Yoda, Luke, Leia, etc. The story was not only plausible, it felt natural, and pulled me in. I wish they would have extended Rogue One into multiple movies.

Fantastic movie. 13/10. Good boy.

The main disappointing thing for me about Rouge One is that they all died at the end. I would have loved to see them expand on the characters from RO

That's kind of what made it a great movie though. The sacrifice they all made....
