Droids don't count.
To be fair, he's the most memorable part of that movie.
Droids don't count.
Droids don't count.
Name three characters from Rogue One who weren't from the OT.
Especially when there is only like ten people left in the entire resistance by the end of TLJ and every one of those were too stupid to even realize as they were last shown congratulating each other and partying over it all....
The main disappointing thing for me about Rouge One is that they all died at the end. I would have loved to see them expand on the characters from RO

There were multiple cuts, the best one was "too violent", and involved Vader landing on the beach, and brutally murdering everyone personally, the girl and her boyfriend are attacked by a TIE fighter on the Antenae, and end up commandeering it to escape, they make it to the main ship and are celebrating abit, when it turns out that Vader had followed them up there, cuts into the side of the ship, force throwing a chunk of spaceship hull across a room crushing half a dozen people, and then proceeds to terminator down the halls for 5 minutes chasing after her and the dude before THEY are the ones violently killed in the hallway while handing off the plans. They canned that one in favor of the peaceful Death Star explosion death, only paying a small hommage to it with the toned down hallway scene with the red shirts, and leaving the landing craft dropping off Vaders troopers on the beach, but with him edited out.
And it could had been 20 minutes of that awesomeness instead of 5... Originally the monk guy had quite abit more force ability, to the point the Storm Troopers were having a real hard time dealing with him, Vader showed up and splattered him instantly with a force slam against a wall like it was nothing without even breaking his stride. Was truly terrifying, and a shame it didn't make it in, although it would had almost certainly had given it a hard R rating, and i think they were trying to avoid that, thus the ultra tuned down version. Here's hoping for a future blue ray release lol....

Droids are people to...or something.
Unlike Canadians....
One more while we're on the subject of Rogue One, I had a discussion with someone on Reddit the other day. They claimed to have worked on R1 and spoke about details of the original ending that seemed to line up with things from the trailers that got cut from the final film. The basic gist of what he had to say was that the first cut was so violent it was going be a hard R, and that in the first version it was Cassian and Jyn that make it up to the transport only to be cut down by Vader.
I'll quote his full comments below. I think if what he's saying is true, the ending of R1 would have been even better.
There were so many reshoots for the film tho. I wouldn't immediately dismiss that guy's comment.Claims to have worked on the film, but refers to the main characters as "Girl and boyfriend" and "the monk guy." Seems legit. Why would they go to the roof of the building if they were going to take the plans personally to the ship? It's not like they knew the TIE Fighter would be there, or that they'd be able to commandeer it if that was one of the possible endings. Makes no sense. That ending comes off more like fan fiction.

Isn't it a bit more in line with what the director had done in previous works though? I forgot what else he'd done. There's absolutely no way they would have had Vader chasing them for 5 minutes, with a total of 20 minutes of Vader wanton destruction in a Star Wars film. It's completely fan fiction. Where's the plot? It reads like a horror film, tbh, it's like they're using a slasher flick plot device. It's just not something that's seen in an action/adventure like Star Wars.

The mandalorian is Tiiiiiight!
There’s hope for this franchise yet, after they let Rian Johnson damn near destroy it.
Yes it is. But what was with the random Rocky training session in the middle?
That was IG-11.They took enough shit about Rey being a Mary Sue lol.
This show looks super promising. That baby "Yoda" is one of the cutest things I've ever seen. IG-88 is equal parts badass and terrifying.

People often talk about the need for criminal justice reform in the United States. The fact that Rian Johnson isn't doing 5-10 years for attempted murder of Star Wars is yet another example of white males not being held accountable for their actions.
