Sorry boys, had to do a reverse sabotage for a make up post. TRH was great. I just enjoy my steak with a little different flavored onion. No harm to anyone that likes it differently.

I think its more likely to go from notre dame verbal to Oklahoma signee than it is to go from notre dame verbal to offer

Mama Bowen is still all ND on Twitter, one thing seems for sure, even when Peyton decommits, it won’t be because he convinced Mom otherwise

As long as we have Mama Bear in our corner I feel we have shot. However slim it might be

My ducking god people please. I absolutely love this site, but it’s such a waste of time to click on a recruits thread and see what is on the menu in some shitty restaurant.

Seriously with the food posts. Some of you don't see the problem with cluttering up numerous threads with the same bullshit?
Actually kind of disappointed in the mods for letting it go on this long in every other thread. DYFJ

Listen, the reality is that the entire ND-related internet is gonna generate clicks here in the waning days of the Bowen recruitment.

You’ve got two choices:

Contribute to the clicks, impressions, and ad revenue of the websites that are selling false hope, misdirections, and outright lies about ND still having a shot.

Or do it here, where the only thing we sell is a place for group copium, which sometimes always includes food threads, lately.

As a fairly active poster in the Dante Moore food thread, I find the annoyance both amusing and fascinating.

To a certain extent, I get it…but it’s also an internet message board. The world is filled with things that deserve your angst. This probably isn’t one of them.

Also a board they don’t even pay a subscription to. I don’t get it one bit

It’s almost as bad as reading the same thoughts posted over and over for the last two weeks. Lol

I'll second rather reading food hot takes and recipes >>>>>> a) constantly bashing Tommy b) discussing who is good or not on the beat c) thinking there's still some remote chance here because of video games and moms twitter

I admire you.

You’ve chosen the hill you want to die on.
1. Taking advantage of lawless NIL isn't against isn't against any kind of mission or against any rules.

2. The academic standard is assassin because almost all of the scholarship Football players wouldn't get into ND on academics.
Those 85 scholarship players account for less than 1 percent of the enrollment.

So why not lower the bar there for ND Football admissions more?

Monk Malloy's spirit is alive and well, even among the majority here on IrishEnvy.

No Natty's is a hill ND Football will die on if they don't pull in the 5 stars necessary to compete at an elite level.

If Bowen and his family really dive in to what OU is apparently selling them, it will become apparent very quickly that those “promises” are not contracts. The entire Ewers debacle at tOSU changed the way players are getting $. It’s very little up front now and more year to year and based on performance. The A&M class last year found that out the hard way and why several entered the portal.

The NCAA better step in and develop a systematic way for players to be represented. There’s going to be so many player wash outs simply because they think they are getting something when in reality the fine print paints a completely different story.

You can still talk about food if you really want to in a food thread, the choice isn’t food or no food. It’s food in Bowen’s thread to purposely annoy folks or food in a food thread.

Thread has existed for 7 years.

I think that’s kind of on the player/family. If you pick a school because they’re the highest bidder, I wouldn’t exactly feel bad if it backfired. They need to realize there isn’t an insurance policy for what they’re promised by the coaching staff.

I’d rather the NCAA focus on the blatantly illegal back channelling and tampering schools do to players that are already enrolled somewhere else. Jordan Addison to USC was bullshit. Michael Mayer to Alabama would’ve been bullshit.

Oh I agree it is ultimately the player and their family’s responsibility. But realistically speaking, these players and their family members are not always equipped enough to read through the BS. A lot are looking for the $ because they are being told that’s how it works now and it’s perfectly legal. What they don’t see is what they have to do to get that money. When it doesn’t materialize they then find out they messed up.

I would rather have a system where there is registered agents representing them with guidelines in place to protect the players. Word would get around quickly in the recruiting circuit if an agent isn’t delivering.

I would like to hold off on bashing Tommy until he commits to the Rams. But I still would like to think there is a remote chance, however slight it may be, of landing Bowen while we have mom in our corner and still listening to ND commits pitches
The beat writers have already said it's Oregon or Oklahoma. ND is out bro. Mom ain't getting what she wants.

Dad promised her a shiny new gift from Kay's with the NIL money to make up.
