Yes, first play of game was a streak to Drob. Didn't see him rest of half. Def felt like a coach's promise.

That's exactly how I saw it, too. Felt like a recruiting pitch "swear to God if you come here Demetris the first play we're going to run is a bomb to you down the sideline."

Then again, we probably promised him he could drive the 18-wheeler around.

Had 4 catches for 81 yds and a TD last night in Cal's 45-40 loss to San Diego State last night.

On a side note, SDSU RB Donnel Pumphrey rushed for 281 and passed Marshal Faulk as the schools all time leading rusher. He is the best RB no one knows about.

I'll also throw in UGA on my own, being his home state, and UGA was a finalist back during his recruitment.

In all honesty him in that triple option would be pretty dynamic, put him at wing back and let him fly. I would love to watch that.

True, it was a bizarre recruitment, that's for sure. Went well into summer. Maybe throw Gunner Kiel in there too. It went our way, but man was it weird.
