Can he catch the ball in the back field? Could be a extra weapon for Book

caught two balls last year, one of which was a TD

Gonna say he gets 6-8 carries, and 1-2 passing targets.
More if he's on fire early.
This will likely mean declining touches for ADavis.

I think he has impressed BK by man'ing up and coping the 4 games on the chin. 10 carries for 90.

With this new 4 game rule he could red shirt.

Never thought of that... He's a true-senior, right?
Doubt he wants to sit 4 or 5 more games though... Perhaps we only use him vs Stanford, USC, either VT/FSU, and the bowl game lol.

dex will break 1 or two long ones
with book at qb---accurate passing on 1st and 2nd down
is the key to the irish offense....less loading of the box vs. the irish now..
dex can get to the second level more easily

Yeah I just think if he is still number 3 after 4 games he should call it and either come back or transfer.

I will wait until I see him recognize blitzes and aggressively pick them up before relaxing when he is on the field. Sorry, but watching his running zip isn't enough. I need an all around ball player. His last year may have really motivated him to be that guy --- I'll be among the first to stand up and applaud.

Notre Dame Football: Running Back Jafar Armstrong OUT For Stanford Game With Knee Injury

Notre Dame’s top scorer will be on the sidelines for the Stanford game.

By Joshua Vowles@TheSubwayDomer Sep 28, 2018, 7:07pm EDT

According to a report from Irish Illustrated’s Tim Prister, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be without running back Jafar Armstrong for their upcoming game against the Stanford Cardinal.

Armstrong has a knee infection that must have developed some time this week, as he is coming off of his best performance of the season against Wake Forest. In that game, Jafar had 98 yards rushing on 8 carries with 2 touchdowns. He leads the team in touchdown with 5 on the season.

This will probably mean that Dexter Williams will see a bigger role against Stanford than what most of us thought he would have coming off of the unofficial suspension. Tony Jones Jr. will most likely retain his role as a starter, but Notre Dame does like to rotate backs.
