should be a big day and glad to see us in good shape with the Tampa Bay kids.

what I meant earlier was if Ryan Green committed, would Ty Isaac look elsewhere? If Ty Isaac committed, would Ryan Green look elsewhere? If we could only take one, who is the better option?

Plus the kid from Texas A&M seems pretty interesting, how many backs are we looking to get in the 2013 class?

^it's been stated that CBK only wants to take one back...told Ty that he is the guy they want....don't know what's true or what's changed since...

I like Green more than Isaac because because he fits our system better. I think ND will progress into a Oregon type offense and he can be our LaMichael James.

Package deals rarely stay together. It is too easy of a sell for another coach to tell a kid to be his own man.

I wouldn't say that it's rare. Package deals happen all of the time.

It is common for package deals to not stay together.

I'd be more nervous if Green committed, pushing Isaac away because a Florida kid is a lot more likely to have second thoughts about going to Indiana than a Chicago kid is. As we've seen this year, early commits mean nothing in terms of how likely a kid is to sign a LOI.

I (and especially because it's BGIF who made the error) want to point out that Ryan's forty time on his front page is listed as 4:31...apparently he took his time.

he actually looks like a real 4.3 lowlowlow 4.4 guy. the explosion is there to. just wish there was more wiggle shown in highlights.

I hear ya. Early commits don't necessarily stick to their commitments as we know all too well. The thing that stinks is when they waiver late in the process they leave us scrambling looking for replacements. You just got to hope that kids stick once they make a decision. I know that I will never count our eggs in the basket until NSD. There was too much disappointment this past year for my liking. Having said this.. I would love to land Green.

i just find it hard to believe that we'll steal his commit this early in the game...imo we're going to have to get off to a good start in 2012 to secure this commitment, would love to be wrong here, though.

This one of the kids Im most excited about having on campus this weekend! He would be perfect for BKs/Martin's system. He could be a stub here at ND, Autry Denson with more speed!

I don't see how you could turn either player away. I love Isaac's size -- particularly, his speed and elusiveness at that size -- because I'm not sure we have any big backs like him that can run people over as well as shake/run away from people. But Green's film is jaw dropping. He's got not just breakaway speed and a great burst when he takes the handoff but also the ability to stop on a dime and re-accelerate to top speed immediately. At 2:35 of the highlight film on the first page he has a sick Reggie Bush-type run. That's really all I needed to see to be sold.

I think you will see Kelly take 2 RBs this year if any of Green/Elliott/Issac/Bryant want to come. Id take Green/Elliott/Bryant over Issac at this point. Issac is damn good, but the other 3 are spread backs. Now if Charlie was here....Issac was the kid we were hoping Aldridge was and Id take him. Its just the other 3 are able to extend the playbook for BK

If one of those names commits, will the others look elsewhere? I think Green/Elliot would be a realistic possibility because I see Green/Bryant/Isaac as TOP backs that want to be the MAIN back wherever they go. Just my opinion though, what is your take on the best "realistic" chance we have regarding the backs.

Awesome. Staff really loves using those jerseys to show recruits. Wonder how the overall weekend is going.

Can we get his rankings updated?

Done, Stats, Rankings, Offers

The colon has been replaced by a period. (Thank you, Beau!)

Green's ht (5-10. 5-11), wt (190, 195), 40 (4.31, 4.4. 4.45) and stats (carries, yds, TD, RTTD) vary from report to report be it the recruiting services or news reports. They do agree he's quick and moves the ball.

I personally don't care if we land Green or Issac, I'm not picky. The first one that commits to Notre Dame is the one I want. For either one, the Irish are going to have to have a successful year on the football field. If we land a commitment from a big time skill player I will be reservedly excited. I don't want ND to be left standing at the alter come signing day. At the same time, we can't really afford to slow play.
