It's better that he take his time and commit 100% (err, 99%) then commit now and have it not be as solid.

He seems very impressable. He almost committed to FSU a month or two ago.

Well, let him sleep tonight, and commit in the morning after a nightful of golden dreams :)

Unfortunately, this is true. I would love for him to come to ND, but this may come down to the last campus or coach visit.

In fairness to Ryan Green though, he (and I think his parents) have made the twenty hour drive to ND twice now. That says a lot.

Great point. And if he came that close to committing this second trip... there's something there.

Pumped that Ryan loved his visit so much. Hope he goes on another visit (like Elmer) and decides he'd rather be at ND.

Ha it's like dropping chum in the ocean...give it some time but soon enough you will have sharks coming from miles away swarming you.

If he were to commit to ND I would prefer he do it in January or after he's been on some OV's. Don't think it would mean much if he commited this early.

Agreed 100%. He could visit the campus a million times and say over and over he loves ND and will never decomit, but I'll believe it when he signs a LOI.

Do it -- don't say it. Commit when you're 100% sure you don't want to even entertain the notion of going somewhere else. If that's not possible until after LOI day, that's fine. I'll wait.

I think if he commits to ND early there's a very good chance he sticks. The kid seems like he has a very good head on his shoulders and an extremely strong family support system, unlike some of our high profile decommits in the past. He's driven twenty hours to ND twice and knows what he's getting himself into. He comes from a Catholic high school. He's already visited the strongest competition (e.g., the in-state schools -- Florida, Florida St., Miami, South Florida). If he commits to ND, it will be because he's already researched the best alternatives and decided ND is best for him. Contrast this to Darby, Greenberry, and even Shepard, who committed to ND pretty much before even visiting another school (and, in Shepard and Greenberry's case, without even visiting ND), and who also do not seem to have had the family support system that Green does (at least in Darby and Greenberry's case -- do you ever recall hearing about either's parents during the recruiting process?).

seems like this recruitment could take awhile, but glad to hear that we made such a good impression on his visit...it'll be really good news when/if he comes back.

The FSU tools down here seem to think Green is theirs if they want him...lol and say stuff like "if we get the kid from Boone (Thurman), we will back off Green and ya'll will probably get him." Thanks FSU for letting us have Green, cause God knows we cant beat you head to head recruiting! (I wish i could Italics the last bit more lol)
